Lebowski Posted April 8 Author Posted April 8 All signs are good. I'd be shocked if he didn't commit to play some 812FB. Quote

He wins, knows talent, developes talent and gets result. I'm sure Coach Belichick is trying to sell him his obvious NFL connection, but what really benefits him to play at UNC over IU? Maybe he's just trying to chase a bag $. If so, that's not something Coach Cignetti's going spend much time going back and forth with. Besides......, he, Monshun, and Brewer are supposed to be visiting this weekend. We will see who all shows up and hope it's a good one! jmo Quote

His high school coach (somewhat equivalent to a college football Coach Cig and NFL Coach Belichick) is a UNC alum. All signs are pointing to 812FB but there's that wild card with having a solid resource surrounding him should he have any questions about Chapel-Hill and the research triangle area. It's actually a really great place to get an education. A lot of great opportunities there. Regardless of what he decides I wish him the best. Quote

I'd bet a lot of money that Coach Ralph suggested that he at least make a visit out there. There's more to sell at the school than just Belichick's NFL connection. If I were in this young man's shoes I'd for sure be checking out the school. If he were my child, I'd absolutely point to the connections the area has for life after football. Old Friend Posted Friday at 07:37 PM Posted Friday at 07:37 PM This is the kid I want most in this class. Having seen him live a couple of times, he's going to be a ***** at the college level. Napleshoosier, Lebowski and skhoosier2 3 Quote
skhoosier2 Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago He's one I really thought we'd get. But as it seems with everyone we go hard after, the bigger dawgs swoop in and catch the interest of the recruit. Even with a natty, it's still a bit harder for IU to land some of these guys against OSU/Texas/Alabama et al. I wouldn't think he'd choose UNC but with the hs coach having ties and Belicheck's NFL ties who knows. Of any of these recruits in the class, he's the one I really want the most. Quote
Lebowski Posted 14 hours ago Author Posted 14 hours ago I'm guessing IUFB is still the favorite. Especially with Nowakowski getting drafted over the weekend. The recruiting pitch wrote itself pretty much. Hands the young man a ton of hardware and tells him what kind of role he'll be playing in 812 and than tells him to look at the TV and see who the Pittsburgh Steelers just drafted in R5. Pagoda Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago UNC just had zero players drafted. First time since 2016. Tough scene for the "NFL's 33rd franchise." Go there at your own risk. WayneFleekHoosier and skhoosier2 2 Quote

And Nowakowski was only here a year...imagine what 3 years will do for some of these guys. Quote
Napleshoosier Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago He’s probably just being polite. There is no comparison. Only an old toad coach running around saying I gotta young girlfriend and did I mention I gotta young girlfriend! Quote
