Carlyle lost his starting job and his minutes have been curtailed.

MM  totally  blows tonight and has earned every second on the bench but he WILL have more leeway and start next game

I understand him getting pulled in the first half.  But exactly what did he do in the second half to earn the pull?

The fact that Woodson said Kanaan was 'really good off the bench' in the post game interview is baffling to me.

A slow start... but after the initial lead we gave up, we regained control of the game fairly early and played pretty well.

Good second half. A slow start is one thing, but every single CBB team has those in a season. Good win. Important win.

4-1, now the schedule gets a bit tougher. Beat Iowa and they'll really have my interest. Illinois is the next huge barometer IMO.

I’d rip beer bongs at the Upstairs Pub 2 hours before game time with Ballo every damn game if he’d be here another year

Hey I was there 2 hours before game time and I must of missed that!!! I would have been ripping with him and buying rounds too!!

We were sleepwalking, especially defensively until Carlyle came in.

He's currently completely broken offensively but he’s a piece that can really help us down the road.

Although IU was only 6 of 21 from three, it really didn't look that bad.  Movement was good.

The way Ballo taps balls out, I can't tell if I love or hate. It seems to work well most of the time, but goes against all the traditional things I was taught growing up about the sport lol. I guess whatever gets the job done. 8 rebounds for him... tonight's leading rebounder?

Myles Rice with 9. Kudos to him. Goode also seems to be more impactful on the boards lately.

USC is definitely a “step off the bus” team. Those are some freaky guys physically but they absolutely stink out loud at basketball. Similar to us at times, I don’t really know what they’re trying to be good at other than just being long and physical.

Tucker drove me nuts on defense, but it was a necessary evil because I’ve never seen a less interested basketball player than Mack tonight. Glad the staff had him on a short leash. Not sure what else to say about Carlyle. I’m at the point of just feeling bad for him.

Glad to be back in The Hall (and all hail King Ballo)

I think Iowa rips us by 16 but if we compete up there and steal a W things could be turning up a bit. But I genuinely think Iowa hits 16 3s and Sandfort puts in 26 and we are right back to where we were post Nebraska. What we can make out of the Ballo vs Freeman matchup will dictate if we have a chance.

I would agree 2 weeks ago, but I am seeing some real progress and guys coming together, I think we keep it close and maybe steal one!

3-4-5 Woody liked the Ballo/Tucker/Goode combo tonight, especially after the start MM got. I would have been mad if Woody would have sat Tucker/Goode for an extended time to give MM more time just because he is MM.

Carlyle was horrible on offense but guarding guys MM wouldn’t have guarded.

MM will start next game and hopefully get back in the groove.
