Penn St. vs Indiana, Sunday, 1/5, Noon, BTN, Palestra in Philly

Recommended Posts

The Bryce Jordan center on campus has a seating capacity of over 16,500.  They have yet to hit 10,000 this year.  Their last conference game against Northwestern had 5,500 fans.  Penn State basketball is not a draw even when the team is good.

Exactly it will have a heavy iu fan presence. It's a neutral site. Iu fans always show at games like this.

It's 9000 seating. I bet at least half the fans will be iu fans or more. Prove me wrong tomorrow. Penn state doesn't draw fans but iu does. It's off campus so iu fans can grab up tickets easy. Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk

I get it.  Thanks.

But I will bet you a beer that there will be more PSU fans than IU fans at the game.

And I will gladly buy that beer...in person.  Some day.

Would be a great bet to lose on my side.  For a couple of reasons.  Betting a beer is about all I would bet on any gamble.

Penn State still controls the tickets and the gameday operations (today is a "white out").  The NET classifies this game as a home game for Penn State.

I would guess it's around 20% IU fans -- amazing venue, but our team is so-so.  20% would still be a great showing.

Whoever is going -- enjoy the experience of the Palestra.
