Correct. We won't. Mac Jones played with Jaylen Waddle and Devonts Smith lol

Lololol Stetson Bennett and Joe Burroe are IMMENSELY better athletes/have an understanding of how to escape, cmon on man. At this point, I'm truly not trying to disrespectful, but are you serious?

Yes, totally serious, you said IU would never beat an elite team without a mobile QB, but lots of elite teams lose to non-elite teams all the time when the non-elite teams have relatively stationary QBs.

You are arguing for a preference: mobile QB over immobile one. Basically everyone shares that; if Peyton Manning had Mike Vick’s legs he’d be better. I and most others share your preference. But your logic (x can’t happen without y) is not sound.

Bruh.. like stop talking about NFL teams. Absolutely irrelevant. Truly an awful comparisons.

Did you not watch our ND and OSU games? Do you not remember how Bama has been beaten? Moblie QBs.

No more from me, you all have made this a crazy discussion. Of course we need a QB with more legs than Rourke. Bringing up Brady, Manning, and Vick? Tf

And the original argument was about the preference of an accurate OR mobile quarterback.  NOBODY has said that they want an immobile quarterback.

Completely different style of play:

Mendoza from Cal is a tall pocket passer with established success ala Rourke.

Pribula from PSU is a dual threat running QB without nearly as much of a proven resume.

I like the comparison of Mendoza and Rourke, except Mendoza can move in the pocket, while Rourke's feet seemed to be stuck in the sand.

And now you are done.  ALABAMA HAD A MOBILE QUARTERBACK and lost to those teams.  They scored 3 points against 6-6 Oklahoma.

Adios.

Lolololololol .... you didnt read well. I asked "how has Bama been beaten" by moblie QBs.... go look through the years, who's beaten Bama when Bama has been good? Moblie QBs.

Do you not pay attention? Mercy.

It is worth mentioning that Mendoza was one of the most sacked quarterbacks in D1.  I do realize that Cal's line wasn't good, but at the end of the day he was sacked 41 times in 11 games.

Because of the way that the NCAA keeps rushing stats, it is hard to see true rushing numbers.  Mendoza is listed as having 87 runs for 105 yards, but sacks are counted as runs in the NCAA.  So he would have had 46 true runs but without a better breakdown, don't know the rushing numbers.

I love how Oklahoma and Tennessee's mobile QBs beat Alabama by holding them to 3 and 17 points.  Such a great job.

Watched Mendoza 3 times this year and that was plenty enough to see he's Lamar Jackson compared to Rourke.

I'm not arguing that Mendoza isn't more mobile.  But mobile doesn't always result in less sacks and in Mendoza's case they didn't.  Dan Marino was one of the least sacked quarterbacks in both college and the pros.
