Adam Howard No Longer On Staff

Perhaps there was too much horseplay going on in the locker room and the two supposed leaders weren’t holding guys accountable, possibly even part of the problem? Or he wanted his two leaders spread out to mentor other players instead of being right next to each other? I mean jeez there’s numerous reasons why this move could have been prompted. Pretty alarming that a low level staffer would risk his job over a simple request over something so trivial.

Do you think Trey and Leal are giving each other wet willies in the locker room instead of watching film? The most likely explanation is the obvious one, but your blind devotion to the fearless leader prevents you from considering it.

Is it me or should Coach Woodson be the one to let the players know that they’ll be separated?

“That’s not my job”

- Mike Woodson, about every aspect of his job that he doesn’t want to do.

While I'm somewhat impressed Adam stood up for his stance on the matter, I find it completely idiotic for a 23/24 year old who is fresh to the coaching side of the business to not do what he's told. When you're at that age in the business, you do what you're told, period. He just got a decent title this year and he probably made around 40-45K or so. At this point, you work your way up, not put yourself in a position to be let go at a P4 program. Getting fired during the season is not a good look. As for Woodson, we all know he's petty from an outsiders perspective, it's not too shocking.

At least this is a football school now.

He moved Leal's locker away from Galloway eventually. He just didn't think it was on top of his to-do list. Two 6th year seniors who Woody begged to come back and paid them a lot of money should be able to handle having their lockers close by. Pretty much everyone on staff agreed with Howard I know that. But sometimes Woody has to be Woody

He'll be at another BIG school very soon.

Too many people have agendas to think logically. If you were 23-24 and fresh in the corporate world and your boss told you to go pick up the documents he sent to the printer and you told him, "that's not my job"...what the hell do you think would happen?

If it's true that Dolson tried to keep Howard, that tell me it's much ado about nothing and Woodson is just that petty.

Some people just don't like to admit when Woodson is wrong and they also struggle to realize that working on a coaching staff isn't always the same as working in a different profession.

I´m not picking sides (ultimately doesn´t matter) but if we´re talking about separating teammates´ lockers? Thatś something you do in high school, not with NIL college athletes. I´m sorry, but I don´t buy that reason, like at all. If it is true, it´s extremely childish.

The recruiting discussions would carry a lot more weight and make much, much more sense...

I don't really care what Leal and Galloway were doing, that's not my job to worry about. Just find it hilarious  that so many are defending a low level employee who was fired for clearly being insubordinate. Guess I can't say I'm shocked though.

I believe you....but don´t you agree? You´re a coach right? Switching lockers of 22-23 year old MEN seems like the lowest of pettiness. But like I said above, my opinion doesn´t (and never will) matter on the issue.

I am and that's what I've said from the start. Especially since it wasn't like their was a team fight or anything like that.

If Woodson wants to fire every person who questions every moronic decision he makes then that’s fine. If he wants to surround himself with yes men as he has, that’s his decision to make. Hopefully he will not be making those decisions as coach of the IU basketball team for much longer.

Maybe because Woodson's boss then turned around and tried to keep Howard, that makes it sound like nothing and Woodson is just incredibly petty.

Good thing he can't fire the people on this board.

Who said it wasn't petty? But disobeying your boss, especially over something so trivial, is going to get you fired more times than not...especially when your job level is a low as Adam Howard's. Welcome to the real world kid!

Have you personally seen someone get fired for refusing to get documents from the printer? Sounds like a ****** company to work for, if so.
