Popular Post Stuhoo Posted October 8, 2024 Popular Post Posted October 8, 2024 You guys don't believe in the transitive property to judge football opponents? I never used to, but I'm coming around to the idea. For instance? Indiana 42-28 over Maryland. Therefore? Indiana should currently be favored by 14 points over Maryland. Maryland 50-7 over UConn. Therefore? Indiana should currently be favored by 57 points over UConn. UConn 47-3 over Buffalo. Therefore? Indiana should currently be favored by 101 points over Buffalo. Buffalo 23-20 over Northern Illinois. Therefore? Indiana should currently be favored by 104 points over Northern Illinois. (see where this going yet, friends?) Northern Illinois 16-14 over Notre Dame. Therefore? Indiana should currently be favored by 106 points over Notre Dame. Notre Dame 66-7 over Puredooo. Therefore, when they play this season? Indiana should beat Purdud by approximately 165 points. I'm predicting a 168-3 final score. Hooray transitive property! LamarCheeks, craigyv88, southsidehoosier and 11 others 4 10 Quote

The shocked crowd reactions as they were introduced to an IU football coach with boulder-sized cojones for the first time. And the comments from Purdue fans to Cignetti from last December! Truly fantastic. Home Jersey 1 Quote
Popular Post Hovadipo Posted October 8, 2024 Popular Post Posted October 8, 2024 I have no doubt that if the opportunity presents itself, Cig is going to absolutely curb stomp Purdue. Zero letting off the gas. He pays attention, knows what the people want, and has zero regard for anyone's feelings. Hollywood Mike Miranda, Class of '66 Old Fart, Home Jersey and 8 others 10 1 Quote
Demo Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Gonna go out on a limb and guess that should IU drop 168 on PU my pre-season prediction of Rourke winning the Heisman might be looking pretty sweet. mamasa, ALASKA HOOSIER and Joe_hoopsier 2 1 Quote

Home Jersey Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 Bumping this... OSU: 21 Nebraska: 17 .... IU: 56 Nebraska: 7 So if the transitive property holds up, we'll beat OSU by a cool 45? Lol... kidding... sorta. Do think there's a pretty good chance we finish undefeated in the regular season. Amazing. That may have to be true for us to make the CFP, based on the lack of respect we're getting in the polls. Probably a blessing in disguise... will help Cig keep them locked in every week. This team is the real deal. I am more convinced of that every week, especially after watching some teams ranked higher. Quote
Stuhoo Posted October 15, 2025 Author Posted October 15, 2025 We ventured into this highly scientific exercise last year, and it projected an IUFB victory over Purdud of 168-3. While the estimator was slightly off on margin of victory, it also underestimated IU's percentage of total points in the 66-0 victory. So with that in mind, I bring you the 2025 transitive IU/Purdoo score estimator: Indiana 63-10 over Illinois. Therefore? Indiana is 53 points better than Illinois. Illinois over Duke 45-19. Therefore? Indiana should currently be favored by 79 points over Duke. Duke 45-21 over Cal. Therefore? Indiana should currently be favored by 103 points over Cal. Cal over Minnesota 27-14. Therefore? Indiana should currently be favored by 116 points over Minnesota. Minnesota 27-20 over Puredoo. So kudos to Purdud!! They are clearly an improved team, as evidenced by the BtownBanners Transitive Score Estimator (BTSE). This year's IU /Purdue BTSE: Indiana will beat Purdud by 123 points. Due to Purdue's improved offense, I'll go with: IU: 130 Purdump: 7 Demo, WayneFleekHoosier, LIHoosier and 1 other 1 3 Quote
