Speculation:  were some IU Ladies disgruntled by the amount of NIL money dumped into the men’s program….one thing that men get more but was the discrepancy just to outlandish for some IU Lady players to accept including the ones who just finished their careers.

Eh, kind of expected at most programs , would read too much into that speculation

Outside of Yarden, none of the players entered will command much NIL anywhere. Yarden could be that. Rest zero chance.

Memory serves that in Moren's first few years there was a really high level of movement out of the program and that most of it was initiated by Moren sending a message to players that she did not think suited her goals.

Meister, Bargesser, LaMendola, Currie-Jelks, and Sandvik's departure are likely in a real part based on that. Post-season player meetings with the staff should always be delivered with a large dose of reality, for better or for worse.

Agree with that.

I know I’m against the consensus but I’m not entirely broken about losing Yardon. Her development didn’t change much when she first came in here to now ( just my opinion). She was streaky and tended to get easily bullied to lose the ball.  I wish her the best.

I think she's a huge loss, but agree with you on development, and that she tended to struggle against longer/stronger defenders. The lack of development is why I don't think it's crazy she would consider looking elsewhere. If she think her game still has another level or two to unlock, it's clear that that won't happen with one more year at IU.

I assume she is being offered much more money from one of the lady "blue bloods". Could be wrong but I would be surprised if she doesn't end up at the usual suspects/top 5 program.

Purdue sophomore guard Rashunda Jones has entered the transfer portal, per source. Jones averaged 9.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game last year for Purdue.

Last week Madison Layden announced she would withdraw from the portal and return to West Laffy.

She developed a little in that regard during this year but you are correct.

Chloe Spreen is VISTING right now

Maybe being from Indiana will help, but her time at Alabama (albeit a good team) was not terrific last season. Also not even in ESPNW top-100 from last year (albeit just missed) but was Miss Basketball here in state.

To many of these type of players getting big minutes is how you turn into one of the bottom five teams in the league that struggled this year. Have no problem taking her, but it better be as a 7th or 8th option unless she has some great potential that needs unlocked. Stotijn or Merkle would be far more exciting as potential starters and fill needs.

Spreen's ceiling appears to be Jules as key reserve on a good team. If she is starting, IU might in trouble.

Don’t think even she thinks she’s a starter, girls team needs bodies at the moment lol
