Sorry but that was not who was being referred to.
Kadlecoca was a late addition freshman.

Currie-Jelks is who you are referring to.

My opinion:  Good to see roster get a scrubbing (maybe, a couple 50/50.  However, every player in the transfer portal is very replaceable)……with a good opportunity to be much better.

Sorry for my confusion. Either one has limited upside in my mind but def Kadlecova does have higher upside.

Was she still on the roster?   I'm kidding but she was almost the Armond Hill of the women's team wasn't she?

T. Moren is getting her flexibility thinking tested….talking about philosophy in selecting and mixing transfer portal players with current players and incoming freshmen.  Lol.

Austin Render IU's radio voice discusses the transfers on here as part of his weekly show and mentions Yarden is expected back for senior season.

Obviously he is not the one with the ultimate info, but him saying it carries way more weight then anything that has been said to this point and hopefully accurate.

Boy I thought the rumors of unhappiness behind the scenes were exaggerated but sounds like it’ll be a brand new team.

Looks like we're returning the two starters; Garzon and Czeiski, along with Beaumont, Wiseman, Fenn, and Kadlekova. That's six returnees, three of which are likely to start.

And both freshmen are of the quality where they are primed to get some run.

Fenn and Kadlekova won't see much time. Yarden, Shay, and Lenee, are likely to start. Faith is likely to be primary backup in post with the two frosh seeing significant min off the bench also. Need a starting C and PG in portal and about 2-3 roster fillers in backcourt who may be some time if frosh are slower to develop then thought.

C Portal addition, Faith

W Garzon, Makalusky

G Shay, Caffey

G Lenee, portal addition (limited minutes?)

PG Portal addition, portal addition (limited minutes?)

Fenn, Kadelkova, and 1-3 other players who fill out roster won't see a ton of time.

This is where rotation and roster is at.

Brenda Frese has experience.  Maybe, her and T. Moren can go out to lunch.

T. Moren coaching in the last few summer off seasons should mean something regarding recruiting.

Are there any good examples of "culture" vs. "talent"? The idea seems to be that some talented players would be disruptive, or bad for the locker room, or bad teammates, but I'm not sure who that would be? Was there a concrete example of where IU could have gotten someone really talented, but passed on them due to "behavior" or "culture" issues/factors?

For instance, Hannah Hidalgo, Olivia Miles, Kate Koval, Sarah Strong, Joyce Edwards, Page Bueckers, Juju Watkins, Lauren Betts, Mikayla Blakes. As far as I can tell, they are all great, and great team mates, and good for their school. Are there any examples of disruptive players that IU would want to avoid?

LSU had some issues two seasons ago.

IU were actively trying to recruit probably 5 or 6 5 star recruits during the last couple years of Holmes era that they struck out on.  Rhet Wierzba spent in person time at tournaments where these recruits were playing.  Recruits visited and some posed with big ten championship trophy.  IU Ladies made top programs lists.  Blakes being one, Prince another, and a 6’3” center that went to go set on the UCLA bench.  Avery Howell was another.
IU has not turned down elite recruits.  Rather, elite recruits have turned down IU after trying to pursue a particular recruit.  Recruits have to want to come.
