TTT Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 It is near 100% more difficult with what happened within a couple minutes of one another on Sunday. (IU at OSU was very winnable game losing by 5). Beyond Iowa as favorite; Maryland, Penn State, Michigan, and Nebraska, it’s wide open. From near 100% more difficult with Ohio State out it’s still going to be 90% more difficult. If IU plays small ball with Garzon in middle for extended period expect guards to do alot of digging. Michigan could answer with 3 ball. Extended minutes how long does it take for Garzon to get 2 fouls? Maybe, Lilly can play (T. Moren said Lilly sprain was significant). Rebounding for IU Ladies took a big hit and expect 3 point shooters to be covered due to unavailability of effectively going into Homes. Difficult for IU Ladies, again. Quote
TTT Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 Plus at start of season T.Moren said she needed the freshman to grow up quickly to make impact. Maybe, Jules and/or Lenee could be an unknown impact (meaning some points, rebounds and solid floor game) though it would be a pleasant surprise for IU Ladies. Looks like Good News video: Lilly looks ready to go. Quote
JerryYeagley23 Posted March 9, 2024 Posted March 9, 2024 Think Mack is gonna give it a go tonight. Hopefully limit the minutes based on score of the game. GloryDays and TTT 2 Quote
Hoosier2011 Posted March 9, 2024 Posted March 9, 2024 I see Bluder still plays her starters up 30+ in the 4th quarter of what should be a 3 day stretch. Bold choice. Quote
LamarCheeks Posted March 9, 2024 Posted March 9, 2024 #2 Iowa 95, #7 Penn State 62 Back to chalk. Winner plays (hopefully) us tomorrow -- about 4:30 p.m. ET or so Quote
LamarCheeks Posted March 9, 2024 Posted March 9, 2024 Lid on the bucket. Very flat without Mack. Quote
Todd41 Posted March 9, 2024 Posted March 9, 2024 Haven't seen so few buckets since 3-4 grade games. Quote
Hoosierfan1901 Posted March 9, 2024 Posted March 9, 2024 This is how upsets happen…hopefully not Quote
LamarCheeks Posted March 9, 2024 Posted March 9, 2024 Not the prettiest of first quarters, but we're up 12-9 after 10 minutes. Home Jersey 1 Quote
TheWatShot Posted March 9, 2024 Posted March 9, 2024 Thought we would have seen Mack by now. I'm getting the feeling she won't play tonight. Winning this game will be a lot tougher without her, and no chance we can keep up with Iowa if she's out tomorrow. Quote
Demo Posted March 9, 2024 Posted March 9, 2024 Prime example of a coach getting too cute by half: IU is getting nothing done in their halfcourt offense so the UM HC decides to bust out a press for a possession which IU breaks no problem and Scalia gets an uncontested 3. Home Jersey 1 Quote
LamarCheeks Posted March 9, 2024 Posted March 9, 2024 Announcer says CMM doesn't get enough credit for her defense. She made the B1G's all-defensive team. Home Jersey 1 Quote
TTT Posted March 9, 2024 Posted March 9, 2024 T. Moren playing planned strategy street ball toughness with guard quickness and ball handling and defense….something like Bob Knight would scheme up. Quote
theriverpilot Posted March 9, 2024 Posted March 9, 2024 Those last 2 possessions were joy to watch LamarCheeks and Home Jersey 2 Quote
Home Jersey Posted March 9, 2024 Posted March 9, 2024 Great active hands on defense and way to run the floor Lily! She is already good. She will be really good next year. Quote
TheWatShot Posted March 9, 2024 Posted March 9, 2024 Well, we almost got through the first half without seeing Caitlin Clark. OliviaPope40, theriverpilot, LamarCheeks and 1 other 2 2 Quote
