Wabbington and Ethan Taylor would be really fun to watch in practice. Couldn’t be more different. Watching Wabbington against that kind of length and athleticism would be really telling. Quote
Demo Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Interesting move. Keita is age appropriate for the ‘27 class and had he stayed at Barca he would have had a great list next year. Assume there must be something in the new regs that make his people believe that this move preserves at least some college eligibility. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted June 7 Author Posted June 7 Kyler Staley put out a summary of yesterday's IU team camp which unfortunately is paywalled. But one of the players he mentioned was 6'7" Levi Lindeman of Bloomington North. Not at the D-1 level yet but this comment was too good not to share. "While the family connection stands out, Levi brings a different style of play, as he is noticeably more athletic than his father was. Stuhoo, HoosierHoopster and Demo 2 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted June 13 Author Posted June 13 Been a big week for staffs to be on the road and watching recruits in action. Started with the NBPA Top 100 Camp where we had multiple representation. This weekend an event called Section 7 in Arizona and Drew Adams is there to watch Darius Wabbington, Yann Kamagate and likely others as well. BIg event that draws a lot of the top prep schools. KJ at the DMV Live Event for J'lon Lyons among others. Clark at Ben Davis HS for the IBCA Underclassmen Showcase. Demo 1 Quote

Uvwe’s is pretty wild. Went from pretty much nowhere 60 days ago to 9. And that’s probably not the end of it. Class of '66 Old Fart, Stuhoo, WayneFleekHoosier and 2 others 5 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted June 18 Posted June 18 Curious if this plans to be a 3 man class. Branham fills unfilled 13. Monden leaving opens up 1. 2-3 leaving for other reasons??? Idk. Hard to project. But a 3 person class makes a lot of sense to me. Quote

I would guess that three or four is about right. Quote

Demo Posted July 8 Posted July 8 Haven’t seen anything about an IU offer anywhere else, but would love it if there is one. Watched 1 of his games at EYBL-KC and it was as good a guard game as I’ve seen this year. He’s a lot like Miles Sadler except he’s 6’2” instead of 5’11”. Quote
Hovadipo Posted July 8 Posted July 8 Navorro Bowman was playing in the NFL after I had graduated college and had my first kid. That is as disgusting of a HS senior that I've come across. go iu bb, Class of '66 Old Fart, Demo and 1 other 4 Quote

When DJ Wagner 1st popped up and I realized he was Milt Wagner’s grandson I debated just strolling out into I-70 traffic. HoosierHoopster, Hovadipo, go iu bb and 1 other 4 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted July 28 Author Posted July 28 '27 Jahari Miller had some minor IU interest at one time but nothing further developed. He announced today he's transferring from Indianapolis Pike HS to Faith Family Christian in Dallas, TX. Demo 1 Quote

Gonna follow him a little bit because he’s kind of an interesting case. The local media and a lot of online scouting types were incredibly vocal about what an underrated kid he is and that someone was gonna get a straight steal here. But despite getting a ton of exposure for a high profile travel program on a major circuit and putting up some pretty impressive numbers not 1 HM program offered him. So somebody’s gonna look pretty stupid here. I’m betting it won’t be the coaches. Sorry, if you’re 5’9”, 5’10” and you’re not a Chance Mallory who has some really dynamic qualities the next step up is just huge. Class of '66 Old Fart 1 Quote
mike vannice Posted August 26 Posted August 26 I'm kind of surprised no one is talking about the 7'0" center who visited IU over the weekend. 18 years old played for ULM in the German Pro B league. Was followed by Drew Adams when he was over there this summer. His name is Felix Kiehlneker. From what little video is out there he seems more athletic than Sokolov. Maybe he is plan C if we don't get Wabbington or Jeremy Jenkins. Stuhoo 1 Quote

Hoping we eventually will strike gold on one of these type recruits. Quote
