First sims using the numbers I've projected from the Torvik rankins.  I inserted Anthony Walker at the 10th spot instead of Leal and also inserted Reneau into the starting lineup (Torvik projects Sparks with a few more minutes than Reneau......IMO Torvik relies a little too much on previous minutes played when projected new mintues).  That said, Reneau still ends up with the fewest minutes of all starters partially because of foul issues.   I used a few different teams from last year to sim against.  I completed 20 total sims.  Starters:

  • Johnson:  34 mpg, 122 of 294 from the field (41%), 26 of 78 from three (33%), 64 of 84 ft (76%), 4.8 reb/game, 4.0 ast/game, 1.4 st/game, 3.0 to/g, 16.7 ppg
  • Galloway:  28 mpg, 58/116 from the field (50%), 20/39 from three (52%), 17 of 25 from the line (68%), 4.6 reb/game, 2.4 ast/g, 1.2 st/g, 1.0 to/g, 7.8 ppg
  • Mgbako:  33 mpg, 82/188 from the field (44%), 22/52 from three (43%), 30/40 from the line (76%), 5.5 reb/gam, 1.3 ast/g, 0.4 st/g, 0.6 bs/g, 1.6 to/g, 11.0 ppg
  • Reneau:  21 mpg, 68/134 from the field (51%), 1/6 from three (17%), 20/26 from the line (77%), 5.2 reb/g,  0.7 ast/g, 0.4 st/g, 0.5 bs/g, 1.6 to/g, 8.9 ppg
  • Ware: 28 mpg, 92/180 from the field (51%), 9/30 from three (30%), 23/32 from the line (73%), 6.0 reb/g, 1.0 ast/g, 0.7 st/g, 1.2 bs/g, 1.9 to/g, 10.9 ppg

Bench (Torvik has the bench rotation as Sparks, Banks, Cupps, Newton, and Leal -- I exchanged Thomas for Leal):

  • Sparks:  13 mpg, 58/92 from the field (63%), 27/62 from the line (44%), 4.0 reb/g, 0.8 ast/g, 0.6 st/g, 0.2 bs/g, 0.7 to/g, 7.2 ppg
  • Banks:  18 mpg, 59/90 from the field (66%), 6/14 from three (43%), 26/49 from the line (53%), 3.7 reb/g, 0.7 a/g, 1.0 st/g, 0.3 bs/g, 7.5 ppg
  • Cupps:  15 mpg, 18/52 from the field (35%), 3/13 from three (23%), 9/12 from the line (75%), 1.2 reb/g, 1.0 ast/g, 0.4 st/g, 0.5 to/g, 2.4 ppg
  • Newton:  4 mpg, 3/22 from the field (14%), 1/10 from three (10%), no ft, 0.3 reb/g, 0.4 ast/g, 0.1 bs/g, 0.2 to/g, 0.3 ppg
  • Walker:  7 mpg, 16/35 from the field (47%), 11/13 from the line (85%), 0.8 reb/g, 0.5 ast/g, 0.1 bs/g, 0.4 to/g, 2.2 ppg

TEAM:  580/1208 from the field (48%), 90 of 244 from three (37%), 252/376 from the line (67%), 75.1 ppg.

Got to get Galloway to shoot more from...well...everywhere!  One 3-point attempt per game is not going to help much.  He needs to be in double digits. Every.  Stinkin'. Game!

The team needs to improve free throws and 3-point shots...or else.  Going to be a long season with those percentages.
