Yep back in the day when he was at Vcu I thought he was going to be the next great young coach.    Watched them win a couple games just because of him.    Then he got hired by LSU and that press conference and then he became one of what he is today and he had become my least favorite coach in a matter of years.    If Wade is coaching at IU I will still watch but they would never make it off the 4th tv until he was gone

You hate him because he paid players? Why do you think JHS and Reneau are at IU? It isn't because of Indiana's basketball tradition in the 80s.

Weirdly enough... Wouldn't even be against it. You can complain about him paying players... But you don't even have to worry about that anymore. So screw it.

True, but with the allure of extra payments gone from Wade, all he has left is his coaching, and that is quite suspect.

I therefore expect that without a leg-up bag of cash, his recruiting wouldn’t be very special.

Well it'd at worst be the exact same we have now. A d at worst, he'd be as good a coach as Archie and Woody... So just more of the same.

Wade's 2020 team was better offensively than any IU team other than 2012. His 2022 team was better defensively than any IU team since 2002. His best player last year came the transfer portal 3 hours away from Bloomington. Yet you'd rather have a 65 year old coach who barely knows the transfer portal exists.
