Hoosierfan1901 Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 Accept it, attests they will have some type of postseason experience before next year (Although I doubt we make it, depending on the roster) Quote

I would hope that the coaches would have a reasonably firm grasp on who will be here next year. The NIT should be all about next year and not a continuation of this one. Aaron Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 I would like to point out if Men get NIT games and are higher seed, they will have to travel if Women can hold onto their hosting spot for NCAA Tournament. Women have the priority and ironically will probably draw a slightly better crowd than men in this circumstance,. Games overlap and you cannot have both. Quote

coonhounds Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 There isn't a reality in which an AD doesn't feel like his first major hire isn't "building something". I know things aren't/don't feel great after last night, but it isn't that bad. I don't think there's a negative to giving your team more opportunities to play basketball and develop. Declining an NIT bid is a far worse look for a first year coach than playing and losing earlier than you'd like. Imagine what message that would send to the returning players, incoming players, transfer portal players, and future recruits.I just ment building something with this current roster. go iu bb Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 Accept. The players already have enough experience losing during the regular season, they now need experience losing in a post season tournament. ALASKA HOOSIER and hoosierbannerd 2 Quote
