The Not-So-Fab-5 will be back and we'll find out how they respond.   The Spartans (17-6) (8-4) have lost their last 2 games; at Rutgers and at home to the Badgers this past Tuesday.  Tim Brando and Stephen Bardo have the call which means I'll be listening to Fisch on radio.

Thanks for starting this thread, 1976.  I don't know about Leal starting.  But, definitely think that Galloway should.

Woodson likely won't start either of them unless he has to.  But he should imho.

Oh well.  Gear on.  And I'm ready for this.

Good luck Hoosiers!

Let's get it!!!

  • Michigan State hasn't really been setting the world on fire. (hope this is okay to post)
  • MSU has a tendency to turn it over, A LOT
  • We've had some success turning games into chaos on the court
  • If P Stew and Kopp start getting lit up by their wings lets change that kind of quick
  • This is a game Arch and Co. won (that's weird to type)

Their offensive rebounding worries me. NW was able to dominate use the boards (that's also weird to type). We'll need all the offensive possessions we can get to snag one at the Breslin Center.

Someone stepping up as kind of a leader would be fantastic!

Should be competitive. Need this game big time given the current streak.

Don't see Leal starting, but nothing would surprise me. Galloway starting would be nice, but would hope he'd be in place of Kopp.

Just hope nobody broke curfew again lol.... Assuming folks are now towing the line, I expect things to get back to normal. Perhaps those guys don't "officially" start, but guessing they would at least come off the bench quickly. If true, and it was only a curfew issue, doesn't seem like that would qualify for long term doghouse type of treatment.

Geronimo needs good minutes, he gets boards on each end, to go with his strong D and added scoring and toughness. Geronimo is the kind of guy who will push MSU

Definitely brings something to the team that other wings don't. Against MSU, I worry that the game is a bit too fast for him and he turns it over. He might be our best option at the 3/4 against MSU though. We'll find out soon enough.

Given MSU's heavy F/C rotation/use, I'd like to see a lot of Geronimo and Durr. IIRC, MSU only has Bingham playing at over 6-9 (he's 7/230), and he's good on the board and shooting %. The other Fs (and they have 3 other guys that get a ton of minutes) all have various +/-'s.....

I guess my fear is MSU outworking us on the boards, and TJD getting into foul trouble.

Especially with how limited our wings are at defending on the perimeter and TJD's tendency to try to swat everything. This is a perfect scenario in which TJD picks up fouls and/or MSU dominates on the boards.

I wish we had Gus. Dude got super pumped about getting a Philly cheesesteak

There should be a limit to how many times a fan base is subject both Bardo and Boroski! It seems like he is the ref of almost all our games!

What is it called when you rip someone off, (in this case, very unfunny Duke students) but somehow do it way worse?

That's what a cheat sheet has been reduced to now? Our dumb Barta jokes hit harder and those are PG.

P.S. Gary Barta orders from the kids menu at Chili's.

Yup, yup, and yup...

That's why I want healthy doses of Durr and Geronimo. Let Durr play the heavy for good chunks of the game vs Bingham while TJD stays a bit off. Let Geronimo be the "active" guy he is causing pain for the other Fs. Let TJD pick and choose more I guess.
