NOTES Big Ten play begins on Monday for the Hoosiers, who will play its earliest league game in program history. They will play two games before the holiday break as it will travel to Ohio State on Dec. 12. The Hoosiers are coming off a historic season in conference play in 2020-21, recording a school record 16 wins and finishing second overall. They are picked to finish second in the annual preseason Big Ten poll released in late October with senior guard Grace Berger and junior forward Mackenzie Holmes earning spots on the preseason All-Big Ten team. While Indiana trails in the all-time series with the Lady Lions, it has dominated the most recent history of the series. IU has won eight of the last nine matchups and are on a four-game win streak in the series. Looking to bounce back, Indiana is coming off a 66-58 loss to No. 2/3 North Carolina State on Thursday night in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. Junior forward Mackenzie Holmes led the way for IU with 24 points. Holmes is leading the program with 16.6 points and 7.0 rebounds through seven games this season. UP NEXT Indiana concludes a three-game homestand when it hosts Fairfield in non-conference action on Thursday night. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 6, 2021 Author Posted December 6, 2021 Hoosiers with a 37 - 21 halftime lead. After a horrible shooting night last game Cardano-Hilary has it going tonight with 12 pts. including 3-4 on 3s. As a team we're 50% FG and thanks to C-H 62.5% on 3s. We have 9 TOs but 7 were in the 1st Q. We're controlling the boards 22-12. C-H also with 6 reb and 5 asst so she's having a great all-around game. LIHoosier and HoosierAloha 2 Quote
LamarCheeks Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 Halftime; IU 37, PSU 21. Granted, PSU is nowhere near as good as N.C. State -- but we're making shots tonight. Makes a big difference when you do that. Quote
LamarCheeks Posted December 7, 2021 Posted December 7, 2021 IU up 24 early in the third quarter. Seem to be playing with a lot more energy than the other night. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 7, 2021 Author Posted December 7, 2021 51-24 with 4:34 left in the 3rd and PSU has been limited to just 3 pts. in the quarter. Joe_hoopsier 1 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 7, 2021 Author Posted December 7, 2021 Just what should have happend, a major beat down. Final score 70 - 40 and our 5 starters all reached double figures. Maybe other than 7 1st Q TOs, not a lot to find fault with. On Thursday night at 7:00 we have a non-conference game hosting Fairfield. ray, HoosierAloha and Joe_hoopsier 3 Quote
