They don't need to measure because the refs KNOW exactly where the first down is....because of something they always ******* do:  they put the ball exactly on a yard line to start a series.

When you run on 4th and 2 from that formation, you're basically asking your back to get you 5-plus yards. 

Either come up with a better play call -- or take the 3 points. 

Agreed. I hate handoffs from shotgun on short yardage situations

It's not the NCAAs problem there wasn't a defender 15 yards near the RB.
