As of July 2025, the 247Sports Composite will now include three recruiting services: 247Sports, ESPN and On3. This update comes as the recruiting landscape continues to evolve with On3 recently completing a rebrand under the Rivals name. While the new On3 brand carries forward the Rivals legacy, it is a distinct entity and not the same Rivals that was previously part of the 247Sports Composite formula. With that structural shift, the original Rivals rankings are no longer included in the 247Sports Composite system. It will now be made up of 247Sports, ESPN and the rebranded On3, with each service accounting for one-third of the formula, resulting in a 33.3% distribution across the three remaining rankings.

I really wish ESPN wasn’t part of the formula, at least in basketball. They just don’t put the same number of eyes on these kids as the other services, particularly down board kids, and they’re gonna skew some results. Not like it matters in any substantive way but it is annoying.

For some reason I just don't think we have a shot at Spears, Branch, or Hampton so I'll take #13,28, and 45.

This one is really tough. Would absolutely love to get Jordan Smith but just don't see it in the cards. So let's go with #18,32, and 36 to go with Mr. Moody.

ESPN also updated its '28 rankings limited to a Top 25 and they're the only major service ranking the '28 class.

A. J. Williams is #1.  Our only other current '28 offer is to Jordan "Boogie" Cook and he did not make it into the ESPN top 25.

The name to remember in the class of 2028 is Bamba Touray 7"0' from IMG. Originally from Senegal. he has only been in the States for a year. He does it all can handle the ball, shoot threes, rebound, block shots and unlike a lot of young 7 footers he is smooth, coordinated, and athletic. One to watch.

I don't see how Gardner isn't ranked, but it's ESPN.

'28 number 2, Dampier must be the son of Erick Dampier who went to Mississippi State and had a really good pro career.

Yep, and Purdue is already recruiting him hard.

This is just a "for fun" exercise because the local heat index is 103 and I'm looking for any excuse to stay inside and enjoy air conditioning.   The above are the '26 offers that have been extended by DDV and staff since he was hired at IU in March.  The list below are '26 offers that were extended by DDV and staff while still at WVU, albeit I've possibly missed 1 or 2.  The bar has clearly been set at a considerably higher level.
