Does anybody know the status of Jakai for this upcoming season? Other sites saying he suffered another injury and is doubtful for the season. Just rumors or any truth to this?

He had a setback to the complete healing of his micro fracture. He was pretty upfront about it in a recent Hoosier Hysterics podcast. Jakai said he’ll be back on the court soon, but he is still not cleared for running.

Well he looks jacked and ready to play outside linebacker by November.

Redshirt seems overwhelmingly likely.
We’re playing with 11 on scholly this year, and Leal is a break glass emergency player.
Those ten are going to get plenty of run for sure.

Sure does. Feel for the young man. At least he’s getting quality care, education opportunities, NIL perks and the like.

I wish we could have gotten Antonio Reeves or some other Combo guard from the portal that would have fit our system.

I hope I'm wrong, but this sounds like the season might be lost. At the very least, he won't be on the court anytime soon.

Baffling to me why woodson did not bring in another two guard. There were hundreds in the portal.

The article is very optimistic.

Nothing to do with the micro fracture issue; an old meniscus injury clean up.

I am so confused about what the actual injury is/was... what exactly he had surgery on the first time?... all of it. Very confusing.

Best thing I could tell the kid... go to Bloomington Bone and Joint for his sports injuries, they're great.
