Silver Creek is back on the basketball map. The Sellersburg area school in southeast Indiana may just be a mid-sized Class 3A school, but it's a program that has produced players like Steve Green (Indiana) and Matt Renn (Indiana State), a pair of forwards that had a huge college impact after leaving the Dragons.

Coach Brandon Hoffman now has his own pair of forwards that the rest of the state should fear in sophomores Trey Kaufman and Kooper Jacobi.

College coaches definitely now about the duo, especially Kaufman, a 6-foot-8, 190 pound forward that Indiana, Purdue and other high majors have already hosted this fall. Jacobi is 6-foot-6 and is already on the radar of mid-majors in the area.

Through the first four games Kaufman is averaging 18.5 points per game. Jacobi is right behind him at 18.3 points per game and he also showed range out to the 3-point line.

As you might expect, Kaufman's interest from colleges is growing as well. "Evansville offered, Indiana State offered.  Clemson, Purdue, a lot of different colleges. Indiana is showing interest," Kaufman said. This fall alone he's made campus trips to Indiana, Purdue and Louisville.

Going to throw out a name that probably most have not heard of but Payton Sparks from Winchester, IN. Hes 6'7" sophomore with a solid body. Not sure who they played tonight but he scored 32 pts, 21 rebounds, 2 steals and only 1 block. Expected to grow to 6'9". Its my wifes family.

Winchester played Union City who isn’t very good at all. The kid was averaging 16 and 11 per game though before tonight.
