Another very hard-thought, important basketball opinion: Free-D (or whatever it's called) isn't that cool.

Fred-D, however, has nice hair and probably is cool.

A lot of things look lame in the embryonic stage. I did see some highlights of Real Madrid/Barcelona in Free-D a couple weeks ago and it looked pretty good. I wonder if the lighting of Assembly Hall has anything to do with the look of IU's Free-D compared to other arenas/stadiums.

Yeah as of now I just don't get it. The angles are kinda cool......but.....????

A lot of people are spending a lot of money and putting a lot of work into it so I have to imagine the potential is there for something special though.

Crispin just made an interesting point about "positionless basketball" and Neukirk. "If you want to do that for 35 minutes, that's fine but, when you need to grind out a win in the B1G, against a team that wants to slow it down, you need a point guard that can make plays". He will need to make a remarkable improvement before the B1G starts.

Sometimes Crispin does not shut up but overall I like hearing the perspective of a guy that recently  played in the Big Ten. He is right-on in regards to his Newkirk comments.
