Yes the month of practice is good. However, that should not be the only criteria going into the decision. There is the risk of a blowout and down side in the recruiting process if things unfold badly to name two.

We played 4 top-10 teams this year and got blown out by 0 of them.

No way. There is no way the bowl will go so poorly it outweighs a month of extra practice. That's bonkers.
