I’m a teacher and coach- former student and player goes to Ole Miss of all places. He reached out this week to ask me if I thought IU would go for Beard. He said several things but a couple of interest: 1. Well known there that Beard is/has been interested in IU. 2. He still has an alcohol problem. Students see him hammered out and about regularly in Oxford. -

Disagree. They saw evidence of potential trouble and passed. He was subsequently fired with cause, and he didn’t fight that monetarily, by Texas. Sounds more like good “due diligence” rather than malpractice. -

The only real thing I’ve learned on this thread, during this coaching search and the last one, is that a lot more private planes fly from the Boston area to Indy/Bloomington than I would have guessed. -

Michigan is going to say they are working on an extension for may to keep chatter down more to keep the noise silent for the players. May has already told Michigan that he isn't interested in contract talk until season end, could that change? sure, but right now nothing is in the works for may contract wise. With that being said, brad is still the guy. He is the guy until he's not by his doing. Happy search season everyone! -
