  1. Past hour
  2. Its nice to see @ALASKA HOOSIER has had an eventful summer vacation.
  3. Ok, this is why as great and useful and convenient as Spotify or Apple Music or those sorts of platforms are, and other than shamelessly screwing artists they absolutely are, this is why radio can never ever go away. Driving along and out of nowhere some great song you haven’t heard in an age and may have never thought of again pops up and you hear those 1st few notes and just bust out “F—- Yeah” as your turning it up. That is 1 of the hands down best feelings in the world and streaming just can’t replicate that sensation. Needless to say, this song did that for me today. Awesome. And it then begs the question: what was the last song that popped out of nowhere and gave you that little charge and maybe took you back to a place and time?
  4. Today
  5. Love when Gus Johnson's voice at the end of the PSU game cracks on Cooper's catch. I thought we were done on the first play of the Ohio State game.
  6. Doesn't he have to sit a year since he didn't enter during the window? So little chance at PT becomes 0 chance at PT.
  7. The Oregon game was when I shelled out for B1G championship tickets. Money well spent.
  8. Here is what he said. Positive and mature. Seems like not much PT available.
  9. That's a real hard room to make noise in.
  10. Seeing reports EDGE Triston Abram has entered the portal.
  11. Kinda stupid to say. Because if you get good you will generate money. Two years ago nobody was writing home about IU football.
  12. Iowa definitely feels like the closest we have come to an L. Iowa had that game in the bag until they gave it back to us. Penn State was only in that game because a ref got in Ponds way. Turned a 10 yard run into a 57 yard run
  13. Surely to God there is some kind of context here.
  14. I thought for sure we were dead in the water at the end of that PSU game.......that game minus the dive made by Mendoza in championship game....might have been the greatest IU football drive down the field I have ever seen
  15. The Oregon win on the road said to me the sky was the limit. Very impressive. And Kudos to Sarratt for making big time play after big time play in that Iowa game.
  16. For all intensive purposes, it should have been an L. Iowa made some crucial mistakes and basically gave us that win. Credit to IUFB's defense as well. They made the plays that kept us in it. It was this game I knew we had something special. The PSU game was when I knew we might actually win the whole effin' thing.
  17. Didn’t one of the kids last year have a case that hinged on juco years counting or not? I can’t remember because all these cases run together for me at this point. He would command big money somewhere, so I’m sure his agent has looked into it, at least. Sam should have a pretty easy case. IU media guys crack me up. I read the article posted. Would’ve been too much to call Alexis or his agent for comment? See if he’s filed a case? When? Where? Status?
  18. Yeah. I think Lamar isn't eligible under the 5 for 5 rules since he was at JuCo prior to Sam Houston. Really too bad because I'd love to watch another year of him. Since there are revenue sharing implications if you go beyond 13 (which I think some big east teams do, but could be mistaken) I doubt we are looking to add anyone aside from Alexis. If a bunch of class of 2022 guys get another year in August, I'd be in favor of parting ways with Sokolov and adding a contributor in the backcourt + Sam. How Harris feels about that should basically be a non factor. Of course, IU would probably never do that.
  19. Update: Just checked my account and the "Transfer Tickets" option is now live. While I understand that this is at odds with what many have been told by the ticket office it is an indication that the process is moving forward and that things are fluid.
  20. Pipe dream, of course. He may be fine starting in the G-league, but you’d think he’d at least consider trying to get $2mil for another year in college. If Cuban or somebody was going to cough up the money in such a scenario, I would give the feelings of Darren Harris almost zero consideration. Yigi likely didn’t come here to fight for minutes with Alexis but that’s exactly what will happen if joins. They had near identical per 40 numbers last year, but Alexis was much more efficient, did it in a tougher conference, and didn’t get the benefit of consistent starters minutes until half way through the season.
  21. She is less than 10 years older than his oldest daughter. I wonder if she will keep her current job in the NBA now she married him.
  22. I distinctly remember people complaining at halftime of the Kennesaw State game that 2024 was a one-year wonder.
  23. And, IMHO, we won't exceed 12 roster spots due to unfavorable inpact on revenue sharing distribution.
  24. Lamar's chances of beginning the year on an NBA roster are barely more than zero. Lamar's chances of beginning the year on IU's roster are zero, even with a waiver. We've got a ton of guards and small wings, and didn't pay to put this roster together so that we could put Darren Harris or Bryce Lindsay in purgatory.
  25. How do lamar’s nba roster prospects look? Can you imagine if he came back? Burton/Wilkerson is probably a top 10ish backcourt.
  26. Adding Sam would be huge, seems like he'd primarily eat into Yig's PT? Regardless, should be enough minutes available for him. Assuming we add him, frontcourt looks deeper / more competitive than backcourt IMO. Hopefully that means less living and dying by the 3
