Cannot fathom being from New Palestine and wanting to play football at Kansas instead of Indiana right now. Pretty sure the only time Kansas has ever been any good was when they had that coach who looked like somebody on My 600 Pound Life. -

We'll get him in the portal in 2 years after 2 miserable years at Kansas.

My all-time rock and roll crush. Ridiculous talent and just about the cutest thing ever. Saw a Lone Justice show and was mesmerized by her stage presence. Electric at 20 years old. Told anyone who would listen that they were gonna be huge.

#1 INDIANA FOOTBALL 2025 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS
BtownStrength replied to Hovadipo's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
OOC is set through 2030, with 2031 being our next open spot. We could always buy out but I doubt it happens. Cignetti seems to like the tune up games. We add more wins and can get starters more rest, but with a slight chance that the SOS would hurt us in the playoff debate. Seems to be a risk we are willing to take. -

Defense will be an issue with Harris and Burton starting together. It would be fantastic if Harris would cone out of his coma and move Lindsey back to the role he played at JMU. He still played 29mpg and feasted on the other teams second unit guys. I'm not saying Harris is Oladipo but his size an effort are good on that side of the ball. Mustaf will get the other teams best perimeter guy. I think you're right about running the ball through Sherrell alot. I hope he's under 260. 5 million buys a lot of snacks. -

Love how Cig nonchalantly said “First time at the White House for the team”. Because in his mind it’s a given they will be back -

Pate’s kind of whatever. He does some good stuff when he isn’t click-hunting, but you could see a twinkle in Cig’s eye when he started talking coaching trees and whatnot. -

No I totally agree with you. Yes it’s probably very difficult to get a good player to come in for limited minutes at point. I am only saying he comes in off injury and who knows how he holds up. I believe he’s my biggest concern about next years team. I think we have two guys who can play the post. I think he’s the most be we can least afford to win. -
Bidunga measures 6'7.75" at the combine. Same zize as TKR.

That's gonna look cool playing professionally in Mexico after his Combine Measurables.

Cig probably had the 2021 IU/W Kentucky game behind him to watch. The interview was good for the first half then it turned into the old SNL Chris Farley interview sketch. Remember that time Coach when you were at Alabama....that was awesome. Its amazing what you've done here in just two years but remember when you coached under Saban...man you worked for Nick Saban. -

I’m not picking on you because I’ve literally seen about everyone mention this. But, a couple of counterpoints for the board: 1) That’s true of every team. You can’t have a suitable near all-conference pg just sitting on the bench in case of injury. Any backup we bring in will be a huge drop off from Burton. At any point last year if Stirtz, Smith, Thornton, Fears, etc.. went out those teams were in a no-win situation. 2) Lindsey. I will say I didn’t watch much Villanova last year and don’t have a good read on him. But he was second on the team in assists and 2nd in USG rate. You have to think the staff has him pegged as our emergency PG if Burton goes down. 3) Sherrell. What are we paying this guy 4-5 million dollars for if he can’t be the focal point of the offense for a few game stretch if Burton would have to miss a couple games with an injury? -
Looking at those comps, I think we’d have to be pretty unlucky to not have at least one decent rotation piece. There are also a couple of nice starters on that list. If we get that our whole minutes conversation takes on a different context.

Stu, thanks for sharing. This is awesome. It's funny not long after I initially read this post I ran across the following video with a long Cignetti quote at the end of which I asked Gemini to quote. I'm also curious and almost bet you have quite the collection of Cig quotes and wondering if you mind to share. Thanks in advance :] Cignetti's Speech on Standards and Habits: At the end of the video, Curt Cignetti delivers a speech centered on standards, habits, and the "edge." Here is the full quote from that segment: "I bet on myself. I bet on myself big time. I like getting better. I feel compelled to improve and get better every single day because I do firmly believe that you get better or you get worse. You never stay the same. And if you're not striving, somebody else is, and they are catching your @$$, right? And you are getting worse. And I believe that. One play at a time. Six seconds of play. Every play's got a life and the history of its own. It’s nothing—nothing. Not affected by success, not affected by failure. On to the next play. Never satisfied. Playing to a standard, not the circumstances of the game. Okay? It's not okay to let up because of the circumstances of the game because you're playing to a standard. Standard habits. First you form your habits, then your habits form you. And you have in life freedom of choice, but not freedom of consequence. And with every action is an equal and opposite reaction. You're trying to find the edge every single day. Every single day. That's what you're trying to do is find the edge in whatever area. And it might be just your process and how you conduct yourself. And that edge may be in a different area every single day because team—TEAM: together everyone accomplishes more. And that's the truth." I just read they offered him $$$ and the OC coached Tyler Warren and they are selling him on being Warren 2.0 Wish him the best. Thought he was ours to lose. Seemed pretty high on us but all could have been for optics or $$. It's pretty disheartening after winning a championship we are still getting passed on for...Kansas LOL On to the next. In Cig we trust. -
As always from you, that's a great comp and a major compliment in the eyes of anyone older than about 18. You're probably arguing with online draft dudes that were in diapers when Love was averaging 18+ pts and 10+ rebs and changing how teams got out on the break with his passing.

Yeah $omething changed for $ure.

Pate is so far up the SEC's ars. You'd be poop faced if you had to drink every time he references that poop conference. Brutal. -
Love was the second best player on teams that went to 4 straight Finals and won one of them. He has had a solid career which is still going from a quick Google search which surprised me. He married Kate Bock, so there could be a lot worse careers he could follow.
-
He may be the all time example of an early maturer. Kid’s built like a 28yo man and has an incredibly refined game. But he is as good relative to his peer group as he’s ever gonna be. He’ll do nothing but lose ground to them over the next 7 or 8 years. He’ll play for a million years and be an all star caliber player but he’ll never be option 1 on a team that wins anything and Dybantsa and Peterson I believe can be. I said he had a fair chance to be Kevin Love, which I think’s a compliment and a high end outcome for him, and these online draft dudes come unglued like I’m calling him TJ Leaf.
