  1. Past hour
  2. Any news on how the weekend visit went with Wang?
  3. He signed with the Ravens, so does he think he will kick Jackson out of that starting role? He is the joke.
  4. His mouth and attitude is his biggest obstacle followed by his height.
  5. Fernando will have a couple of familiar faces and targets in rookie camp with him.
  6. Good for him. He is going to a place with a nasty defense already. I would love to see him kill it in the league.
  7. Didn't he just complete his 4th year? Good luck to him
  8. Today
  9. As I mentioned in above posts, some teams did not participate in the EBYL or adidas events this past weekend. I've since learned that the EYBL changed its requirement for number of games required to qualify for Peach Jam. Also, the DMV area had an event of its own and some of those area teams opted to stay home. Lastly, some teams opted not to send their 16U and 15U teams. 2028 - 6’2 G Josh Lindsay of Mokan (16U) had two strong performances today at the KC Showcase in Kansas City W vs. MN Comets / 16 PTS L vs. i4 Sports / 23 PTS (7 3FG)
  10. In the B1G women's golf tournament, Hoosiers finished 4th but unfortunately, PUke finished 3rd to pick up a point. Next up is the men's tournament May 1-3. We hold a 9.5 to 6.5 lead with 4 competitions remaining.
  11. ....I was just getting ready to post this pick. He almost looks like he's sending a message, but to who?!? lol
  12. .....hope he has the reciept for all 32 of those team caps! lol
  13. There is no play out of the whole season me made me pace more than this one.
  14. Open carry state. Indiana has very lax gun laws, so this is bound to happen, sadly. The city of Bloomington encourages visitors to come for Little 500, but even if they didn't, it has such a reputation that visitors would be there anyway. Police presence probably could be higher, but with open carry laws, huge crowds, and alcohol involved, its a high risk scene.
  15. Agreed. That this is where we are as a society is the most sad. That there are people outside of the IU community who think it's OK to come to campus and start shooting over a disagreement is insane. Young people should be able to celebrate a university tradition and feel safe while doing it. I don't know where we go from here but something has to change.
  16. Indiana University National College Football Champions! A classic:
  17. Middle class budget doesn’t buy enough and after last year fiasco of some of the same talk that is heard now thus far it is disappointing to not have better than middle class money.
  18. Z has not proven she is a go to player for long periods of time. Of course injuries…but foul trouble and consistency she is good when healthy and could become go to player but currently that is nothing more than wishful thinking until she proves it. By March 1, 2027.
  19. Z is def a go to player inside when healthy. The question is her health. Saw enough last yr to confidently say she is a top 3-4 center in this league when on the court. Also, most importantly, with Jess Petrie and Kenzie Hare out of the portal to go with Lenee, you have three top-tier three point shooters. Z demands enough attention inside to open the three point line for these players. Clearly the team also had way more money for the portal this year which was good to see. I wouldn't say it was top-tier, but solid middle class money that got you three solid p5 starters in Petrie, Hare, and Samuels and a decent backup in Williams. Last year everyone who came at the time was a low end rotation player from the p5 or a mid-major starter. Clearly team went from a working class budget to a middle class budget for the portal given who they brought in.
  20. Yesterday
  21. Stanton gave Tholl another lesson today in her culture and system again today. Sometimes Stanton's system of power ball and avg pitching result in the 9-8 type losses you saw yesterday against decent teams. However, the joy you see in the dugout on every pitch and the home runs being hit like they are going out of style with wins far more often than not, you more than accept the sometimes shaky pitching. Stanton has built a winning program in this sport that has not been seen since the 1980's.
  22. I believe Smiley does stress all of that as that is what Heller and Hannahs build their program on and how Heller took Mercer to school this weekend with Iowa.
  23. Finkelstein on this past weekend's 3SSB event mentions Naz Anderson and Darius Wabbington. Also Antonio Pemberton a player we have looked at. https://247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/article/scouting-nasir-anderson-jalen-davis-darius-wabbington-and-3ssbs-top-2027-prospects-283246494/
  24. IU is 37-13, 14-7 in the conference for those not keeping up like myself.
  25. You make some good points here, and Smiley sounds intriguing. I’d be interested to know how he coaches: does he stress fundamentals…solid defense, good pitching, discipline at the plate? As Wayne points out, we are less than the sum of our parts (recruiting has been pretty decent) because we are sorely lacking in those areas. And we can’t let this go on any longer or the program will be in the gutter.
  26. The towel that I have signed that I haven't yet framed is worth more than the jersey my brother law got signed for me.
  27. Stats for our 3SSB offers are pretty sparse. We have a very small number of offers out to kids who play on the adidas circuit and for whatever reason, a number of teams did not make the trip to California. The 3SSB circuit does not report turnovers.
