FortWayneHoosier Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 How far does this team go and what will their record be overall, but also what will their big ten record be. Go! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote
HoosierTrav Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 This is Tom Crean's most well rounded team he's had at Indiana. Back to Back B1G ChampionsElite 8 or better ALASKA HOOSIER and FortWayneHoosier 2 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 11-2 noncon. 13-5 B1G24-7. 1-3 in B1G. Sweet sixteen or Elite 8.Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners ALASKA HOOSIER, FortWayneHoosier and HoosierAloha 3 Quote
FortWayneHoosier Posted October 2, 2016 Author Posted October 2, 2016 I've got them going to elite 8, this team is too good not to go that far 11-2 non conference 12-6 big ten record Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote
HoosierAloha Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Tough to predict this team because of injuries and role players expecting to step up. Non-con: 11-2 (lose both big neutral site games) B1G: 13-5 (good for top 3) 24-7 heading into BTT, win one lose one 25-8 Non-con neutral site losses leave us with no signature wins away from home. We enter the NCAAT with a higher seed than our record would indicate because of a poor SOS and RPI. We lose in the Sweet 16, again. WayneFleekHoosier, BtownBanner6 and hoosierpap 3 Quote
Trish Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Hard to tell with the announcement of Collin, Freddie, and Morgan injuries/recovering. We're losing a major piece to the puzzle, Yogi. With Collin done for the season more than likely, we're going to need a new leader to step up. The one thing that worries me is the injury problems. We all know James, Josh, Tommy, Davis, Morgan, and now Freddie are all extremely injury prone. We're going to need our freshman to step up this season off the bench, stay healthy, establish who runs the PG best, and of course move the ball. I'm going to guess we finish 4th in the B1G with a second round exit in the NCAA. I'll come back and revise this come January. I'm glad we're getting tested by Kansas on our first game, gives us a good indicator on where this team is and could become. hoosierpap 1 Quote

Brass Cannon Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 I think I am less worried about losing Yogi than most. Crean has had a top 10 offense without Yogi, he had one with Verdell Jones III.Yeah we are losing his scoring, but we are gaining JBJs scoring in the backcourt. Besides Yogi was what our 5th leading scorer his freshmen year we had a top 3 offense. 2012 - 10 2013 - 3 2015 - 9 2016 - 6 Honestly looking by those numbers our offense is better when the PG isn't a focal point of the offense. Gonna go with 11-2 Non Conference 14-4 Conference 2-1 BTT Sweet Sixteen exit. Quote

I think our week SOS will come back to bite us again with a poor seeding in the tournament and then there are other factors that I think will hold us back. I hope I am wrong though. southernindianahoosier, ALASKA HOOSIER, HoosierTrav and 1 other 4 Quote

HoosierAloha Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 More in the sense of being more 'likely" to get injured based on previous injuries. Sorry for the confusion. Wasn't sure how likely Tommy, Davis, and McSwain are to injury. Just though Davis and McSwain were nicked up. Quote
