Preston was/is a really special talent.

Likely could have been our "most talented" Hoosier ever if we were so lucky. I believe he is that good.

This will make the Wilkes, Jaren Jackson, misses sting a bit more.

  Agree. I'm firmly in the "He's never going to college" camp. But if he does, and qualifies, I am confident that he wants the highest profile opportunity he can get. Last December, while API was at the Marshall County Hoopfest,  Preston was so brazenly lobbying anyone who would listen for a UK offer that it became sort of a joke in the gym about who was recruiting whom. So I've felt pretty confident throughout that, regardless of what Momma might want, Billy wants KU. And since I seriously question the culture fit, I am fine with other, less talented options.

Man, we have a low hit rate with the guys who include us in their finalist list. I believe Crean will find a way to work with the solid core we'll have next year but would sure be nice to add a blue-chipper. He's a scramblin' man sometimes, that Tommy!

Add Tucker and a grad transfer big and we should be in a good spot for 17-18.

What's that saying---"always the bridesmaid and never the bride"? We make the final 3, 4 or 5 of so many recruits but rarely come out as their number 1 choice.

Depressing for the people that let it get them down. I just roll with the hand that is dealt and move forward. That's not to say I'm not upset for missing out on our #1 target in 2017 but I just can't be depressed about future recruits that haven't played a college game
