Does anyone know what percentage of tickets IU will get when they play on the road.

3,500 and after the band, parents, dignitaries, etc get theirs there will be about 2,000 left.

I don’t wait for the selection to be over so all the SEC morons shut up for the next year. “Teams won’t want to play her games if SMU gets in the playoff.” Just stop it. Alabama lost to two 6-6 teams. Played a crappy non-conference schedule. We’re not talking about a team that went out and scheduled a bunch of juggernauts. They lost easy games and should be punished for it the same way any team not named Alabama would be.

The automatic byes are so dumb because of situations like this. 1 bye will go to teams that wouldn't have been in as an at large bid and the possibility is there for more than 1.

Yeah -- I think that's something the framers of this playoff plan screwed up.

I would guess that next year, they get rid of the automatic byes. They will give the conference winners automatic bids, but not byes. They'll then just seed the teams 1 through 12, and if you get two B1G or SEC teams in the top four -- so be it.

I don't necessarily think Boise and/or Arizona State are the last teams in, but they're certainly not bye-worthy.

Plus... both of their resumes are just better. It just doesn't make sense for ND to be ranked ahead of those teams because they played in a championship.

Of course, NDs ranking never really ever made sense.

Meh.

As an avid Purdoo ‘rooter-againster’, I am very happy with their choice.

Seems like a guy with a proven track record of not a high ceiling. Apparently he currently has a hot OC. If that guy doesn’t come with him I’ll like this even more. Odom is likely just another guy, and they are now financially committed to both him and the remnants of Walters.

We stayed at No. 9 in the AP poll, but got jumped by Boise, which replaced SMU at No. 8.

ND is up to No. 3, which leads me to believe they'll be No. 5 in the CFP -- meaning it's unlikely we'll play them in the first round.

Tennessee (6 to 7) and O$U (7 to 6) flip-flopped, which makes no sense -- since neither played.

SMU fell behind 'Bama, so we'll see what that means to the committee ...

If ND gets the 5 seed, it'll further show that it's not so much who you lose to so much as when you lose. At least, if  you are one of the big name schools.

Losing at home to NIU and getting the 5 seed? Ridiculous if it happens and the chances it happens is high.

Their offense is really fun and innovative. Sort of what we thought we were looking for as a “disadvantaged” program last offseason. I would assume that’s the OC’s baby though. Curious to see if he comes along for sure.

If I’m UNLV I promote him to HC.
