I'm usually the type not to really pay much attention to what others do. However, it seems nowadays people just find reasons to be offended. I honestly don't get this whole thing.

If you have a bagina go in one bathroom. If you have two balls and a bat play ball in a different.

I just don't get people wanting to be offended or going out of their way to be "different." I've had two *** roommates in the past. Never knew they were *** until they told me. It never mattered they were *** as long as we were cool. They gave interesting insight to how they viewed others looking to be "different" and their rights.

Aren't you being what you don't like with this statement? Compromise, compassion, and understanding isn't one sided. You will learn that when you get married.

Before you jump me my brother is *** and I give two shits either way. As a society we are changing for better or worse. Change and bigotry does not change with a take it or leave it attitude. It comes from discussion and understanding where both sides stand and why both sides are uncomfortable. Both sides have a reason why they feel as though they do. What pisses me off about this situation is we have turned this into a LBGT problem. It's a T problem. I don't think anyone has a problem in the little boy room with *** men. It needs to discussed not closed off.

The whole bathroom thing just makes me laugh...you've been using public restrooms with transgendered people for years. 99% of people just want to use the facilities and move on. No one wants to see anything. There have always been really bad people out there who screw things up, but that isn't anything new.

A roommate of mine didn't want to tell me he was *** at first because he thought me having been in the military I wouldn't be accepting. I never would have guessed he was *** until he told me. It was actually pretty cool because it encouraged me to ask him questions to get a better understanding and his mind was opened that not all military was against gays.

What I told him is: there's too many unhappy people in this world. If being *** makes you happy be as *** as you can be. I think the world would be a better place if people found their happy place without harming others.

It is also a public restroom. No one is forcing anyone to use it. If you feel like you or your kids are going to be in some kind of harm, simply use facilities in your private home. But the argument that men will use this just to go into the women's restroom to prey on women is silly.

Meh that's why 21 states have changed that. While I am not saying that's right or wrong they need to have discussions as opposed to shutting every other opinion out such as you have.

You can think what you want, but I'll let you know when you're wrong and sound like people from the 50's who wanted black people to use different bathrooms.

That's a 2 sided coin though. I agree transgendered have been using the same bathrooms as the rest of us, but that's not the issues. It's the fact that no one cared until everyone started pushing the issue of LGBT rights. If transgendered people would have continued doing what they have been then it wouldn't be an issue but making it "legally" ok to use either bathroom opens the door for any pedophile to claim they are transgendered and no one really being able to stop them because of the crybaby/PC world we sadly live in at the moment. Most aren't taking an issue with actually sharing the bathroom it's trying to protect their loved ones from people potentially abusing it. I don't have a horse in the race. I'm not a Christian and I don't really care either way about the LGBT stuff. What people want to do in the privacy of their own bedroom is their business. But with that said people like bhaggard are exactly what's wrong with the issues going on in the world at this moment. The whole I'm against your "bigotry" and "closed mindedness" but I'm going to do the same thing you are is asinine. Having an opinion doesn't give you the right to put down others opinions just because theirs doesn't match yours. It's as if he/others are saying it's ok for them to support LGBT rights but it's not ok for others to be Christian if they disagree.

Well that is a you problem then when you try and bunch people together based what you believe they believe in. So I will also let you know when you are wrong and let you know it is kids like you in modern society as to why nothing gets accomplished without compromise. I am glad you have an opinion but spoon fed brats need to wake up in the real world and realize there are real world problems that need discussion. Not kicking and stomping petulant child that pouts when others have differing views than themselves. I actually agree more with you on this than you realize but understand just saying that makes a damn bit of difference. Discussion and understanding are the only way to making a difference. Not acting like a spoiled brat of this generation that can't understand how there are people that differ from viewpoints than yourself.

I get that argument but I just really can't get behind it because it's not being used in conjunction with a "get pedophiles out of the bathrooms" campaigns

it seems silly that somebody who has had a sex change has to use the bathroom of their birth because of this bogey man pediphile fear. But it's totally fine for a male pediphile whose victims were male to use the men's room.

The actions don't match the fear that is being claimed.

And I completely agree with that. I know others are ultra religious and have different views. There should be discussion so they understand and not this the type of crap above. People like that are why change is hard.

Just horse crap from the media to keep people's eyes off bigger things. A pretend gender now impacts a city making millions because of a liberal-pc agenda. No one gave a darn before. It wasn't an issue. And such a small minority. It is teeny tiny amount of the population is somehow making this big of an impact and it is a joke.

Have fun in the conversation, but your bigoted SJW rhetoric doesn't have a place here. It might at a Cultural Marxist Revolutionary Front meeting, but not here. Discuss the points. You can express yourself strongly in your viewpoint without being a ******.

I completely understand where you're coming from. I'm not naive enough to think that there aren't a lot of people that are against it because they just don't agree with being transgendered, and I'm not saying that is right either. Like I said earlier personally it doesn't effect me either way. I'm just going to do my business and get out of the bathroom but I also understand some people's fears on the matter when it comes their children. Honestly the best solution would be for both sides of the argument to actually sit down and discuss their viewpoints without calling names because someone doesn't see it their way. I think a lot of people view it as an all or nothing, but finding the middle ground would likely make everyone comfortable.

I guess my biggest point of emphasis is what gives me the right to tell someone what they can or can't do. I never received it in the mail, a phone call, a personal message from God or Allah, etc. It pains me to say if we are having this much trouble over who can/can't use which restroom how do we take care of bigger and more important issues.

Seriously, last warning.  Your last couple of posts are about how your way is right, and everyone else is wrong.  Keep it up, and your gone.  I'm a christian conservative, and I think having transgender bathrooms are ridiculous.  However, I know times are changing and people are extremely sensitive nowadays.  What really frustrates me is we had a high school here in the St. Louis area where a boy wanted to use the girls locker and bathroom.  Of course he didn't care how 99% of the girls felt very uncomfortable to be changing in front of a boy, he was determined to get his own way.  The school offered to give him his own, but he didn't want it because it wasn't with the girls.  This is what is wrong with today's society, it's my way only because I'm offended.

WHY CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG!!!! :)
