Yes it is. This has RMK and Turner written all over it except Turner wasn’t heading to the League after 1 yr no matter what.

So it’s…

”What if we took Kel’El Ware’s talent, measurables, and motivation criticisms, made him 20 pounds lighter, and took away the ‘nice kid who wants to do better and doesn’t want to leave college until he does’ factor.”

Yeah, Izzo’s definitely about to get a big dose of the Oregon version of Ware. He’s better than Altman and Booker isn’t a million miles from home and his Asst hasn’t left and all that. So I doubt he washes out like Ware. But these guys who’ve watched him for half of a camp game and see Bam Adebayo, and I actually saw someone comp them, are gonna be shocked when he’s a 6/4 guy who has long stretches in games where he’s not playing.

Or Izzo unlocks the motor, because you know he will push and Booker pops.  The fortunate thing for MSU is they are not relying on him to be their guy at the 4/5.  He's a luxury, and he still went there.  So, quite possibly, PT is a major issue and splinters occur.    Maybe he wants to be our 5 next season after playing 12 mins a game. lol JK.

“really pops on tape” means “never seen him up close, but he’s got some killer YouTube.”

There are gonna be some people who will be pretty stunned when they actually see that kid play.

Not necessarily. It could also mean that Booker didn't impress in the game/games that was/were actually seen.

Nice get for UM, but this might be an interesting follow. It took the NCAA a couple of months to determine his eligibility, and given the Michigan academic folks fondness for screwing with Howard, this could probably go anywhere.

Michigan has sneakily put together some nice talent. I mean, I think Juwan is a marginal coach, but he put some pieces together under the radar. Definitely less than they are capable but they will be ok.

4th commit already for 2024 class.  Dylan Harper aimed to be the 5th unless a snafu with Ace happens.  I still refuse to believe Rutgers ends up with #2 and #3 in the class but that's the trajectory.

I wonder if having the name Dylan already taken on the team will make Harper go somewhere else.

Adam Finkelstein:  Purdue has landed a commitment from Milton Academy & Middlesex Magic guard CJ Cox.  Cox is an ultra-gritty two-way combo-guard who took his game to new levels this summer & led the Magic to a UAA championship.

In other PUke news, they  lost out on 7' 2" Trent Burns who picked Missouri over the Toiletmakers, Xaver, Tulsa and Rice.

Cox unrated by 247 and has an interesting offer list...

"Middlesex Magic" and CJ "Cox"...I had to google to confirm these were real.

Well of course.

7-foot-3 three-star Daniel Jacobsen commits to Purdue | Zagsblog

FWIW, Trilly had him going to Wisky until the last 24 hours.

Even I knew that one. Lol.

Trilly called out his Midwest correspondent. Lol.

Heard this kid is pretty darn good. We’ll see.
