Indiana falls to UNLV - 72-69 - 6th Place Maui Invitational - 1st place Embarrassment-for-Fans Classic

I usually keep my negative comments off the board being a mod, but I've had this take since before the season started. I think we will be better next year.  We will be more unselfish, and have better leadership and defense.  Yogi is great, but we don't have an actual cohesive team.  With the addition of De'Ron and CuJo, I think we will have a good team that plays together.  I'm watching the 2nd half of the UNLV game, and it's torchure.  Yogi making terrible decisions. not getting back on defense, Troy standing at the half court line waiting for an outlet pass when UNLV is still shooting, no rebounding, no post feeds, etc.  Yogi and JBJ almost refuse to pass it in the post.  A front court of Bryant, Davis, Morgan, and Hartman is very, very good IMO.  I see us also adding two more very good recruits that will contribute right away.  We will be fairly young, but the team will atually be a team that plays together.  This is not a good team, just a bunch of very good players dedicated to only playing for themselves.

For the older fans has Indiana ever went 1-2 in a tournament in Hawaii (lose to Clemson and Texas pan America ) and go on to do something special? Just trying to spin a little positive thoughts. Lots of differences (coach) but the 81 team turned it around. Here's hoping Troy has a lightbulb turn on moment like turner did for the rest of that year. If I'm not mistaking knight benched him and almost gave up on him during a northwestern game. After that game he was probably the best player in the country (as told by my father, I would of been 3). There is a letter from knight to turner for turners induction in Indiana hall of fame that is worth a read.

Who goes out for the post-game presser?

When will we learn to guard someone?

Hope the players enjoyed their free vacation on Maui.

Looked to me like they were still on vacation during the games.
