Class of '66 Old Fart Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 I got a feeling that knee is more of an issue. If it is, then he should be resting it more than what he has in the exhibition games. We need him to be 100% once the B1G starts and not nursing a knee issue all season long. Quote
MartintheMopMan Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Plus, who knows how much of this is due to a nagging knee I said it before the season, I'll say it again now. Recovery from this kind of knee issue for someone who uses their knees in such specific ways and needs to trust their motion is very difficult. I was concerned when Crean said after the first practice JBJ was having some trouble, I'm increasingly concerned seeing him play. Hopefully, he's going to work this out, but I do get nervous with these kinds of injuries. He needs to relearn to trust it and how to not let it affect his shot. I wrote some more before I think. But then posting it broke the site. So, I won't do it again. I'm hopeful he is using these early opportunities to get a feel for his knee in game situations and optimistic he has just been holding back because they were exhibitions and he didn't want to put too much onto it too early. This is why all serious future NBA prospects need to have injury insurance. Class of '66 Old Fart and KelleyHoosh 2 Quote

I bet Friday he has a great game but I felt he was hit or miss last year and would like to see that trend stop. Stuhoo 1 Quote
BGleas Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 I think this team will go as far as Yogi, Troy and JBJ's focus and leadership on defense takes them. Along with depth, this is the biggest thing that has me worried for a letdown this season.I watched the game and I noticed a few things that haven't been mentioned.1. Troy has picked up yogi's scary, falling out of bounds- pass, without the same effects. That is a bad, bad, move.2. JBJ was out of position on defense. Troy was standing around on defense. Not providing weak side help. ALASKA HOOSIER and mdn82 2 Quote
Walking Boot of Doom Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Good video analysis from ITH. They call this out in the first video, but you can see RoJo fight over the top of screens a couple other times as well. That was a big issue last year. Hopefully the team really worked on this. Overall, I love the pressure we applied. The whole team seem committed to the pressure as well. http://www.insidethehall.com/2015/11/12/film-session-bellarmine/ mdn82 and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote
