JaybobHoosier Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 I'm new to hockey, and went to my first hockey game last night. I absolutely loved it, and am hoping to stick with it. Who else are hockey fans? LET'S GO BLUES!!! Naturalhoosier and mamasa 2 Quote
Hovadipo Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Not a hockey fan really, but went to a Hawks game last winter and it was a blast. So much fun to watch live. mamasa 1 Quote
LIHoosier Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 I am. I tried to convert as many as I could while at IU, it didn't go as well as planned. NHL is the best sport live. WayneFleekHoosier and mamasa 2 Quote

I'm not a hockey fan at all but have a few friends that keep telling me to watch a game live and it'd change my mind. mamasa and JaybobHoosier 2 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 I like Tampa Bay. Still play hockey and have played since age 4. Coach at the High School level. It's a beautiful game that requires amazing talent to play at the highest levels. Josh and mamasa 2 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Also. 3 best "feelings" in the world. Scoring a goal in hockey. Hammering a dude with a check. If you get them just right, you can't feel a thing. And well, the third isn't hockey related.......[emoji15][emoji15][emoji15][emoji15][emoji15][emoji15] Class of '66 Old Fart and LIHoosier 2 Quote
mamasa Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Big Blackhawks fan, I used to have half a stick from Steve Larmer, broken over the head of a Minnesota North Star :) Love minor league also- Olympic hero Eddie Belfour was with the Indianapolis Ice- fun games back then. mamasa Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 One of my favorite hockey memories was going to the very first Indianapolis Ice game (back in the '80s). As they set up for puck drop, Brent Sapergia didn't even go for the puck. As soon as it dropped, he threw off the gloves and started swinging. Needless to say, the Ice set an IHL record for penalty minutes that season lol Naturalhoosier 1 Quote
Naturalhoosier Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Went to a number of FW Komets back in the day. Prior to the Coliseum being renovated. Tons of fun! I took my son to his first NHl game prior to moving east. The Avs vs Islanders. We were 6 rows from the glass in a corner. He had the time of his life! Other notable games. Saw game #4 as the Ducks swept the Avs back in '06 or '07. What made it great was that it was from an auditing firms suite on the blue line. Freaking fun! In '03 saw the Sharks beat the Avs in game 6. Notable because my buddy and I caught the fame on a whim by finding seats online. I wore my Sharks jersey and was challenged to a number of fights post game. Avs fans suck. Lol JaybobHoosier and mamasa 2 Quote
johnsoniu Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 It should probably be mentioned that hockey groupies tend to be extremely hot, thus greatly enhancing the best sport live aspect. ALASKA HOOSIER, mamasa, WayneFleekHoosier and 1 other 4 Quote

Josh Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 It should probably be mentioned that hockey groupies tend to be extremely hot, thus greatly enhancing the best sport live aspect. This is so true. There is always a zillion hot girls at hockey games. What makes that crowd so different? It's rare to find one at a football game. JaybobHoosier 1 Quote
