IUFB: We Have IUFB Too!!!

Recommended Posts

Well, I'm getting to the point I expect it. I'm very optimistic at this point, but regardless of that I'm just coming to the point that I expect to see success. Might not be the Rose Bowl this year,, but I'm expecting improvement and a bowl game.

That's where I'm at with it. It's always so disappointing that I'm just expecting something good to happen eventually.

what in the world makes you expect success from the football program at iu? I expect to show promise but ultimately be disappointed in the end. Does anybody remember the score to the last bowl game we were in?

Why wouldn't I? I'm not interested in ancient history. CKW and staff are either building something or they are not. If you don't expect success, you won't ever get any.

I think Wilson is doing a tremendous job. What could have been last year without the Injuries?

I think I didn't understand what you mean by expect. I expect success also and I agree on that with you 100%. I predict though that I will be disappointed in the end lol

For anyone who doesn't know the drill, I'll give you the Spark Notes version of what to expect this season:

We'll win the first two games, maybe by a lot. The defense will perform well, and everyone will get pumped. The media will print all sorts of stories about how IU finally has a solid defense and things are looking up.

But not so fast. Western Kentucky will come to town and hang 40+ on that "new and improved" defense, leaving us with the same questions we have every year and once again dashing our hopes of a perfect non-con. Doug Mallory jokes resurface.

We'll play well enough to beat Wake Forest but find a way to lose anyway.

OSU…no comment. This will go down as a win if some of their fans get punched on their way out.

On to PSU. Suddenly, the defense will play well again. But as is usually the case with IU football, just not well enough to win.

By now, after losing 4 straight, the preseason optimism will be long gone. Only to return with a solid win over Rutgers.

At MSU? Make other plans for this weekend.

Iowa at home: Sudfeld makes tough plays and helps grind out a win. Which takes us to...

Michigan. We have to beat them again some day, right? Maybe I'll live to see it…maybe.

At Maryland? See: at MSU. Maybe a slightly better game.

At Purdue: we can win. We should win. But we're IU and we don't beat Purdue 3 straight times in football.

Summary: your search, "IU football bowl game" did not match any documents.

Did you mean: "LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL"

***Just having a little fun with this. I know some people don't like this kind of humor.

Game day! For those that aren't IUFB fans, I encourage you to watch the game today. Today's the day to become an IU football fan, and let's support our Hoosier program!

Not happy with the half time score also curious about missing players!
