Hoping this is the year they pull it together. Seems like all Wilson is a lot like Crean in the regard that he recruits well but things don't pan out on the field. I was stoked for last year only to be severely disappointed

Well one or two good recruits in football don't completely change a football team. Basketball is another story. Last year was unfortunate, we had everything to go to a bowl game but who would have predicted that two capable back up quarterbacks would transfer?

I would say the selling of meth is way worse than anything the basketball team has done

Well the football team can tell you.  I believe that was one of things that got Antonio Allen in trouble!

The injury to Suds killed IU's chances at a bowl game. We had to rely on our defense a lot because the offense struggled so much. The team easily beats PSU, the  I think we pull another one out. Just can't wait for Saturday!!!

No Im in agreement with you. I don't know what you really mean about one or two good recruits thing but I said in my original post that I thought everything was going to pan out last year. Matter of fact I was at the first game and was excited for the season. No one could have predicted Sudfield going down like he did

Yeah I like our chances this year. The addition of the two transfers from UAB will be big. I think Sudfield being back with our receivers a year more experienced will be great for us. Im excited!

I'm terrified to get my hopes up. The offense will be really, really good with the return of Nate. Our offensive line actually has a chance to be the best in the conference. Yes, it's that good. I think the O will strike a nice run pass balance and really be deadly. However, you can't keep the ball the whole game, and that's where the problems start. Our front 7 should be good, with our linebackers being the strength there. Look for Simmons, Scales, and Niles Sykes (RS Fresh from ND) to have big seasons. The secondary is where we are going to just be horrendous. Four sophomores will start on Saturday, and Chase Dutra is the only one with solid experience. The loss of Antonio for um well you know, and Donovan Clark's injury have made us inexperienced and thin. We will need contributions from our two most recent classes to have a chance. My prediction for the year: Sudfeld is B1G 2nd team, Spriggs and Feeney are first team. We start 3-1 and finish the year 6-6. Best case is a 4-0 start and 7-5 finish, and the worst case is another year with no bowl game, and the start of a coaching search. I hope that doesn't happen though. Can't wait for Saturday, GO HOOSIERS!

What's great about Indiana football is that any success at all is so unexpected that you can't help but be excited. It's impossible to be disappointed.

Well, I'm getting to the point I expect it. I'm very optimistic at this point, but regardless of that I'm just coming to the point that I expect to see success. Might not be the Rose Bowl this year,, but I'm expecting improvement and a bowl game.

what in the world makes you expect success from the football program at iu? I expect to show promise but ultimately be disappointed in the end. Does anybody remember the score to the last bowl game we were in?

That bowl in, what, 2007? has nothing to do with the one we're going to in 2016. Yeah, I said 2016.
