Armored Athlete won a pair of games over the weekend in Chicago to move on and will play again on Friday, July 24 in Chicago.

On Saturday, Armored Athlete beat Chicago Elite, 98-86 and followed up that effort on Sunday with a comfortable 91-73 win over Reach 1 Teach 1.

In the win over Chicago Elite, Hulls finished with 23 points, including six 3-pointers, and six assists while Watford added 18 points and seven rebounds.

Against Reach 1 Teach 1, Watford had 18 points, nine rebounds and four assists while Hulls chipped in 16 points and nine assists.

Armored Athlete will play the Illinois Hoopville Warriors, which advanced to the the quarterfinals in last year’s TBT, on Friday at 10:15 p.m. ET.

Saw a bit of the streamed feed the other night; Jordy has definitely advanced his ball handling skills and CWat has been playing the two guard. Both are averaging over 35 mpg.

My only regret is that they didn't get a chance to play against, and stomp the living shirt out of the Chicago regional team that had JaMarcus Ellis and DeAndre Thomas.

Will Sheehey is supposed to be over his hammy tweak and joining Jordy and CWat soon; maybe by tonight.

$1 million to the winning team; I think our guys are in the final 16.

I believe the semis/finals are on one of the ESPN networks. Maybe just the finals.

Yep. Just checked the guide and games start @ 2:30 pm ET on ESPNU tomorrow and run all night. They said on the game earlier that if our guys won, they would play tomorrow night @ 8 or 9.

Stream finally up.

96-91 the boys win. Play at 9PM tomorrow night on ESPNU

That's 10 pm ET. Rod Wilmont plays on the other team.

This time, it was Will Sheehey, whose 28 points propelled Armored Athlete past the Illinois Hoopville Warriors, 96-91.  This marked the third consecutive game in which a different player led Armored Athlete in scoring.

“That’s what he does,” said General Manager AJ Mahar of Sheehey.  “He got us going, and he stepped up big.  It was huge for us.”

Mark Lyons and Jordan Hulls scored 17 points apiece in the victory for Armored Athlete, which shot 84% (32-for-38) from the foul line.
