He's the reason I'm an IU fan and even know how to play and understand the game. Probably the reason I was in an IU onesie as a baby. Happy Father's Day! And the same to all father's here!

Happy Father's Day to all!  I miss my dad---he introduced me to IU basketball. When he was finishing up his degree at IU--I remember as a kid staying on campus in those old blue-green trailers by the football stadium that have now been removed. Cancer cut his life short but even in his final days we watched IU basketball in his hospital room.  He would go in and out of consciousness and I remember him waking up and saying--"did we win"?  I said "yes dad". He said "good!"  I also went to IU and now have a son who is going to be a senior in high school and intends to continue the tradition. Dad was a great Hoosier Father---I have tried to follow in this footsteps.  Thanks for the thread and helping me remember good times.  Again---Happy Father's Day to all!

My dad wasn't a sports guy and didn't introduce me to IU, I found that on my own. My dad did instill a strong work ethic in me at an early age and I miss him and thank him for that every day! Happy Father's Day.
