The NBA Draft is coming up quick.

Recommended Posts

Also, saw a tweet yesterday that the Pacers and Nuggets are both actively seeking to move up in the draft. I really hope we're looking to get Winslow or Johnson.

I'd like to get Winslow to play the 2. I just want Hibbert gone. Someone out there will overpay him. Maybe they'll look to trade Hill and West too. Time to put some new pieces around PG13.

The Pacers don't have a say in the matter. Its a player option so Hibbert has all the decision making power.
That said Im hoping he decides to leave.

if he doesn't then trade him. Never seem someone on the floor for no reason so often .

Most of it looks good, I just see Justise going a little higher and Lyles going lower. Also I don't think Willie Trill Cauley Stein will fall to the pacers. What's up with D'Angelo Russell and the Sixers?

People are thinking that Russell has made a promise to the Knicks and trying to get past the 76ers. But that doesn't mean the Lakers won't take him. Or that the 76ers won't take him anyways.

Cauley-Stein would be the worst possible pick for the Pacers.   He's too limited offensively for the way Vogel coaches.  I'd much rather see Turner or Kaminsky if they're going big, but personally would rather see Jerian Grant.  Ideally, I'd like to see them deal some picks down the road and grab a big AND a point guard.  Good talent in the top half.

Also for Lyles I've heard that people are going both ways with him. Like they don't know if they should take him high or low lottery. With WCS.. the teams ahead of the Pacers have C's that they like. Vucevic, Cousins, Nurkic, Drummond, Jefferson and Whiteside. And WCS isn't a 4 by any means. And none of those C's are 4's. So WCS can very much fall to the Pacers.

They do. But they still have West right now. I think it'd greatly help to have a center that won't whine if he doesn't get touches. And then find an offensive minded PF afterwards.

Being a Celtics fan, it will be interesting to see what happens. Fans seem to be split on trying to trade up and sitting tight with our two first rounders. I personally don't think there's much in this draft that I would trade up for, outside of a top 3 pick.

My guess is we sit tight and see who falls to 16 between Johnson, WCS, Lyles, Portis and Turner. I don't think Johnson and WCS will drop that far though. It would be intriguing to me to trade up a few spots if WCS is there. The Celtics need a rim protector in the worst way, and he might be nice alongside Kelly Olynck who is more offensive minded.

Find End Now, did you really take the time to do this Mock Draft or did you just copy and paste somebody else's that you think is on point?  If you did take the time to do it, well thanks, that's a lot of work.  And even though you drive me crazy, that's still a lot of work to and I appreciate it.  I'm sure the board does too.

I always liked the NBA Draft, mainly because of my love for the College Game, and the fact that I've heard of the majority of the players that are entering it, except for the International players.  I've been researching the draft for some time now, and I really can't remember one that is so up in the air after about the 4th pick.

I'm really only concerned with the Pacers, and if I had to choose who they like and who they'll pick, I'd say that they're gonna go with Cameron Payne out of Murray State.  The Pacers are in desperate need of a point guard because CJ Watson won't be back and Donald Sloan is typically your 3rd point guard on a roster.  I suppose that they could go big because there's a need because David West is 34 and Roy Hibbert is just not good.  If we do go big then I'd really like us to grab Trey Lyles or Frank Kamiskey. I really don't want us to pick Miles Turner out of Texas because to me he is Roy Hibbert 2.0.

Yes I take the time to do these. I started doing it when Vic and Cody were going in. And that was a crazy draft. But I did have Vic going to the Magic, Noel going to New Orleans(just didn't see the trade), McLemore going to Sacramento and few others right. Bennett and Zeller threw it off a bit actually. Did fairly well last year too. I just try to go off need and look at what teams have and what type of team they are.
Edit: I do love people's input. I always want people talking. I like seeing that because it can help me.

I just don't see all the hype with this draft outside the top 4-5 picks. I would want no part of turner or kaminsky if I'm the pacers, bust central imo. What's up with people liking booker so high? He was basically James Blackmon with a better team around him last year. Sure, he can shoot, but what else does he do? Just don't see that one at all

He put up the top numbers in quickness and lateral drills for the NBA Draft testing. That along with everyone was asking how well he moved his feet defensively went hand in hand with him rising up draft boards. You pair that up with the semi-myth that all these Kentucky kids would dominate at other schools and the only reason their stats don't display this and why their draft stock is a bit hurt is because they play for UK. I actually like him, but still maintain he is getting overrated

I don't see the hype with Booker either. Through their cupcake schedule in the beginning he shot lights out, but at the end of the season his shooting numbers continuously fell. He can't create his own shot

When it comes to the NBA draft (or any draft for that matter) I trust the judgement of higher ups, especially Larry Legend. Remember Steph Curry was picked behind Hasheem Thabeet and Paul George was picked 8 spots behind Evan Turner. Fact is you just don't know. That being said, I want Frank the Tank or Myles Turner I think. However, I am not sure if that will happen.

Supposedly the Kings want to draft Super Mario. I actually love Mario's game....... but their last two first round picks play the exact same spot/role in their offense. Guess it is just the Kings being the Kings

Larry doesn't have the greatest track record though. He does have Granger, Paul George, and Stephenson but then again he also picked Miles Plume, Tyler Hansborough, and Shawne Williams amongst others. He has been hit or miss but when Larry hits in the draft, its a darn good player

Miles Plumlee ended up being a pretty decent player, though, man.  He was on the Sophomore team at the All Star game, was a fan favorite in Phoenix, and is a solid 5 man/energy player.  Kind of like a Jeff Foster kind of player with the Pacers.  I like everything Larry has done except Shawne Williams.  The Hansbrough pick did kind of suck though, but I along with many other thought he'd be better than what he is.  His jump shot is so weak and he shoots it so weird, if he had even a serviceable jumper then he'd be so much better, but as it stands now, Tyler kinda falls into the Goon Category.
