I am glad to hear this......We are looking at a title run and a few more impact players could help get us there! I prefer a juco or transfer at this point to balance classes better--- but I can't blame Crean for wanting to win NOW!

Outside of Thon, I don't really see how signing any other freshman big will benefit us next year.  More than likely they will just be bench fillers and will  be gone when we really want to use a scholarship for a player who can actually play.  That being said, and with the team we have in place ready to make a run at something special, we need to look into graduate transfers who have experience and can make an immediate impact.  Players who fall into this category include:

Johnathan Williams III (out of Missouri, could even start for us at 4, best player available)

Tyler Harris (Providence)

Alonzo Nelson-Ododa (Richmond)

James White (Arkansas-Little Rock)

Tomasz Gielo (Liberty)

What about RoJo's friend that lived in his subdivision growing up---D. Robinson---I think he went to Florida. he could transfer now with the coaching change.  I  liked his game back when we were recruiting him and was disappointed we did not get him.  He has had a year to develop under a good coach. I heard Dickerson from Florida was transferring---anybody hearing anything on Robinson?  GET TO WORK ROJO!

That would be a GREAT pickup. Like having a Nick Zeisloft quality backup big. Understands how to play against high level competition for 5-10 minutes per game.

Max Beilfeldt would give me a lot more confidence in front court depth. He's not going to win a game on offense but is a reliable team defender and rebounder.

Alonzo Nelson-Ododa is 6 feet 9 inches tall and is a really good defense player and rebounder. He is tough as well as a quality kid. I have watched him play at Richmond for 3 years. IU would love this young man.
