Yogi debating about entering the NBA Draft

Recommended Posts

The highest I have seen Yogi is middle of the second round. I saw him at 52 also which is a few foreign players drafted ahead of him for not getting drafted. I don't know how much his stock will go up, but I doubt he hurts his chances by staying.  Playing on a team with more success will give him more standing as a leader and pg prospect.

Williams is likely not to be drafted as he is either not listed or late second round. There are always several foreign players not listed in these mock drafts that get picked and push these middle to late prospects off the list on draft day.

I have seen JBJ listed higher than Yogi or Troy. I think he is the least ready. If he wants to spend a year or two in the D-league, then he should come out. He can move into the first round and possibly avoid starting out in the D-league by coming back for another year.  He will be much better in the NBA if he improves his late season shooting by getting stronger and improves his defense.

If they feel they would rather play in the NBA, then they should go. They would have already announced if they thought they were a lock.  Yogi will gain the least by staying.

never said he has been all season...lol

EDIT: Your pacers playoffs are on the line tonight....

Our playoffs chances ended the second it became apparent PG wasn't coming back this year. And that is fine, the roster is pretty bad outside of him anyways, need to get younger and more athletic

As I said in another thread, the real negative to Yogi's game is his height and he ain't gonna grow anymore. He gains nothing by coming back really.

If I'm him I'd probably go.....

I think the real problem with Yogi's draft stock was the lack of success these last two years. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think a good season with more wins and a tourney run will lift his stock.

I doubt that he is higher than a mid to late first round pick though no matter what happens.

This. It's amazing what a good year will do to your stock.
