I liked the guy even before the 30 for 30 segment. He pushed himself and everyone around him. I thought trash talking etc. was a lot more than we see or hear in today's game. Enjoyed it throughly and it's funny how he is so entrenched in the Kentucky fans minds. Good stuff.

Just watch this again and man does it make me miss this team. I went to IU 90-94 great basketball years. Still upset we didn't win a championship during my years at IU. I did have a nice constellation prize I sold my Final Four tickets for $1900. I know some of you think I'm crazy for not going to the game, but I was a broke ass college student.

Damn! It was so cool having players and a coach you thought had a GREAT chance at winning EVERY time they took the floor.

Knight could be an ass at times but when he coached you always felt the sharpest basketball mind in the building was on your side!

Bob Knight was a great coach. I wish things could have been different towards the end. I seriously doubt he will ever return to Assembly Hall. I read something recently were Ed Hightower had praised him for his coaching and knowledge of the game. Hightower said something about he knew the game better than any coach on the bench during his time officiating. Hightower mention you might not always like the way Knight said it but he was usually right.

Agree on every point. I wish he would have left about five years before they fired him.

Whatever the reasons I just didn't feel his heart was in it the last few years.

When you're in a situation where the circumstances around you are frustrating you but you hold it in...meh, it's a bad deal! Many times it leads to a person blowing up over something that would normally be a mild irritant. It can lead to a person having a generally crappy and cynical view on life!

Coach K and Duke mirror Indiana basketball in many ways(wonder why?), but I absolutely root against them every game every time unless they play the Heels. Then I wish both teams could lose. Watching this ESPN piece makes me appreciate just how good of a player Christian was as seen by his stats and National titles. Coach K cntinues to get all the call, much like Knight use to, and our final four loss to them was truly the passing of this torch to K. We got robbed that day, which of course upset me as this group of Hoosiers deserved the title as much as any. Just look at their record in the Big, against the Fab 5, or winning percentage. Hurts me now just like then. I know the 75 team's not winning it all was also a heartbreak, but even I was a little young to fully appreciate it. Bringing us fully backfirst takes a coach that can get us there; I have faith.

Ugh...all the Laettner love here makes me want to barf. He could play college ball for sure, but somehow the fact that he played with Grant Hill (aka the walking wounded) and Bobby Hurley (you know you like him in the IU uni for Blue Chips) ALWAYS gets overlooked. All the complaining we do about the Kentucky players....LAETTNER WAS CUT FROM THE SAME CLOTH!! Win with class...nope. Treat opponents with respect...nope. Gloat your ass off on national tv....yup. Laettner alone was the reason so many disliked Duke for years....and it was deserved. Pardon me if I pass on the lovefest. Hell of a player, but also a class A punk. Yes, I watched it...no it didn't change my view of him. I can edit anything to make anybody look better. Actions speak...words don't.
