Piped in noise?  I'm not sure what that is.  TBH, it's been about 6 years since I've been to an IU game.  That's not because the viewing isn't great, it's because I'm 1000 miles away.  If I could have season tickets to go to Assembly Hall I would regardless of my couch and tv.

I'm one of those old timers that loves Assembly Hall and doesn't want it to ever go away.  If they bring the wrecking balls, I'm going to duct tape myself to the banners.  The mystique man, the mystique.

Maybe I just wasn't being clear. Piped in noise was poor word choice. I mean, allegedly the huge advantage of AH is that the fans can be heard especially well on the floor making it more intimidating/difficult for opponents to hear. But does that really matter? It isn't winning us many, if any, games. And should that be what wins us our games?

I appreciate that you would go, but a lot of the less diehard fans don't "get" things like the mystique, like most of the people on this message board do.

How are you permitted to post this without some sort of notification warning on content? Are you washing and waxing someone 88 trans am?

Because this is an IU board. Did you get lost looking for a KU site? Nobody cares if you mildly insult the Jayhawks here.

LOL I am not going to trash a program to the level you think that will make you believe I am a TRULY an IU grad. Good grief.

Nobody cares who the IU grads are.  Just be an IU fan.  Don't be condescending towards IU fans when you bring a KU skew.

Sorry if I'm out of line mods

I have been to Assembly Hall many times. Once was a IUWBB holiday tournament. It was a very sparse crowd, but the aura of the buliding was very evident.

Yeah, AH definitely has an aura about it.  I remember the first time I ever went to Assembly Hall and I could feel the aura as soon as I walked in the lobby.
