I guess my point would be don't call the ticky tack fouls, but call the blatant fouls where the offense player is bump and hindered to get to a spot or his shot off. My biggest issue is when the call some BS touch foul 30 feet from the basket and miss the obvious bump 4 ft from the basket on a drive. Yogi was getting bump around pretty good last night without many calls.

And yes Hollins arm bar was annoying....

I do agree a busy whistle kills the flow of the game.

The refs need to set the tone early in the game and stick with it. They seem to be random far too often. Also, with some crews it appears refs have money on different teams. One ref makes a terrible call and another ref follows it up with a worse call.

Maybe that explains Valentine.  Or he just doesn't like to be out done in the terrible calls department.  Or he tries to see how awful a call he can make.  Or he is just a really crappy official.

 

One of those.  I wish he'd retire already, then he and Hightower can take their Ted and Ed Show to a deserted island.

I live in Maryland and have talked to some Terps fans and they can't believe how bad the officiating is in the Big Ten. They're not even complaining that it's bad against them, or in favor of a particular team, just bad overall in general.

it seems that there is always a B1G that has the perception of playing for years beyond his worth to fellow IU fans...

there's Aaron Craft, Andre Hollins, Robbie Hummel, Adrian Payne...etc, etc...

 

I wonder what IU players have stuck out in the minds of our competitors as those that have been here well beyond what they should have been...or another words..."hate" due to being pretty damn good and sticking around for 4 years.
