Yes. I was punished by ITH for apparently attacking some other posters. I dont recall it being that way. I was upset after the Eastern Washington loss and bashed Crean. Then a flood of posters started attacking my character, I obliged, and POOF! I ended up on, what I feel is a far superior IU basketball site. I did learn to mince my words from that whole exchange though.

Thought so.  Had the exact same thing happen during the Stan and Troy drug suspensions. Was personally attacked for my opinions, found this site and love it. Wont go back and was a regular for 5 years. Great discussions here.

If Izzo was interested and not followed up, this set us back another decade. How could you not give him the first opportunity? Thinking of all those Indiana players who have left to play for him plus his keeping the others in state. The 2012 class would have really been the movement. What could have been...

If Izzo was actually interested and we didn't pursue it, someone should've been fired...into the sun.  That would actually be dumber than Crean's contract extension, which is monumentally stupid.

Ditto. The extension infuriates me more than anything. (Is this Hoosier Trav from ITH?)

He really shouldn't have gotten that kind of extension, and especially not those buyout numbers.

My guess is that when putting together the contract extension Fred Glass looked at Crean's Talented Roster with 2 lottery pics and said, "There is literally no way Any coach could f**** this up"... Then the 2/3 zone happened...

I refuse to believe that Izzo wanted the IU job. Not because it never happened, but because I don't want to fathom living in a world where it could be true. Could you imagine Izzo at Indiana University?!?!  I just cant anymore.........

I don't know if it's true or not, but I'd have been beyond ecstatic because the list of coaches better than Izzo is incredibly short.  If it's true it would also mean the IU name can attract big time coaches still.

Here are my next questions. If we dont make the NCAA Tournament, will they buy him out? Could it be done? Is there enough resources? Would Crean resign? Does Glass hitch his wagon anyways? Is Glass in hot water?

If we miss the tournament again there is no way he should keep his job, but 12 million is a big check to write.  Although if the boosters had to pony up a buyout that large I could see Glass being tied to Crean at the hip, he is the one that signed off on that indescribably idiotic contract.

If the right coach, hint hint, is available you make the move regardless if we make the tournament. The watered down version is not what it once was with 68 teams. We just get him to settle for less or fight him until he settles. Fire Glass and do not let him in on the new coach as I'm sure he woukd sabatoge it. Just watching a real coach now. Mich St gets a bad call and Izzo goes ballistic; Crean has never done that cause he's too busy pacing and not watching the game. I really believe this watching his coaching and subbing decisions.Lots more examples but none of us need them.

ITH does a great job but I hate feeling like a pariah every time i feel like voicing an opinion that doesn't line up with theirs. That and the surplus of ass kissing that goes on between the fans and the sites founder was nauseating to me. ANywho....... I really do love this site. I've been passing it along to many of my friends.

Alex Bozich is a very good dude.  He comes from an outstanding family as well.  Really good people if you ever get the pleasure to meet them.

Yeah, I've never had the pleasure of meeting him. I dont want to speak on his character, as i've never met him. I just hate the way they moderate the comments section. Nothing personal. My reference to the "ass kissing" was more of a slam against the people who are so obviously sucking up to him at times. Its like that guy in the meeting who excessively sucks up to the boss. Its annoying for everyone involved. Thats all. I'm sure Alex is a great guy. Never heard otherwise. I really like his fathers work as well. Excellent sports journalist.
