Mike Davis did the best he could with the situation he had.

I totally agree, but in fairness, his recruiting did set IU back by basically ignoring the state of Indiana. Just look at the kids that left the state during his watch. If IU got half of those kids, he might still be coaching there today. Not to mention hurting relationships with AAU coaches.

You can honestly say the same with Crean. And he had it much worse than a National Championship caliber team his first year lol.

I agree but I had hoped in year 7 Crean would have been way past what he inherited. He definitely got an A+ from me in years 1-4. Since then, since he built a new platform on guys like Zeller, Hulls, VO and Watford it seems to be slipping away.

Too young last year.
Too young this year.
Now we are talking about sending Troy and Stan away next year.

Yeah all valid points. I just don't like the pass other horrible coaches get when like the OP said, Crean is just one part of a systemic issue this program has had for about 15 years.

I agree with the OP and thought we should be in the top 25 and playing very well at the end of the year. The lack of D disappoints though. Still even if we get that fixed we are not yet much better for next year unless we get a big that will start day 1.

So best case top 25 at end of this year and 2 wins in tourney.

No new recruits added we are probably top 20 most of the year but not likely to get too far in tourney the following year

Then year 3 yogi graduates and JBj goes pro and we are young again.

Better hope for the best of the best scenarios .

Not to play Debbie Downer here but this thing could just as easily head south fast.We need to beat Gtown or this young team could lose confidence . They already have a problem with focus.

My agenda is simple! We are freaking Indiana! Teams used to be scared to play us! Crean has turned us into the Kevin O'neil Northwestern teams.

Oh come on! At least every game isn't a 50-46 snorefest.
