maybe it is worse than you thought, or maybe Dixon is not as good as I think, but I just see no way IU comes out of this with an already established coach that will give us everything that we want...we need to remember that the best hire our school ever made was an up and comer from a low major (or at best mid major) program. Hardly anyone wants to risk their career to come to a pressure cooker like IU where it takes a .750 winning percentage to get any credibility with the fan base.

We are only a step up in tradition from Pitt?  I'm no basketball historian, but they've only been to one final four in school history... And that single appearance happened before the US entered World War II.  

 

I'm going to go out on a limb here, but we might actually be a couple (or a few flights) of steps up in terms tradition over Pitt.
