So with the 13 limit they are effectively in the same boat we are for next year if they do not lose any next week correct?  We have 13 with 2 commits so 15 for 13 scholly's and they have 11 with 4 commits so 15 for 13 scholly's

We have players who will transfer. Syracuse only has Patterson that would transfer

But, even without the transfer stuff, then sure. On pure numbers we're in the same scholly situation as SU if they don't lose any. But, no one is worried about their numbers and adding TB if they don't lose any. I don't see any reason for us to worry with the same numbers and no risk of losing.

The reason I think the NCAA stuff may benefit us is IF they somehow render Syracuse less competitive due to sanctions.

The scholly situation is probably not enough of a difference on paper and would depend on how the coaches explain it.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out Cuse

everyone is going to do it eventually, someone has to be first. Too much money lost and too many problems dealing with the NCAA. It will happen eventually and bring down everything we know and love about college sports

I fear this is the nail in the proverbial coffin on the TB chances.

Please Syracuse has had this problem in spades. Not saying it's not serious but Syracuse has been through this multiple times in the boheim era.

Could hinder all recruiting going forward honestly

It only reflects bad on the personnel involved. Says nothing about the program at all. Other programs have had far worse go on and players still go

To say this will keep top recruits away is a real reach and what our rivals hope for. This situation was just a lack of judgement and kids being kids. My fifteen year old son is the one who told me about this and I used it as a teaching moment for him. When he sent me a text telling me of the situation he included "freshmen smh" I responded hey they are a lot older than you, you remember that! He is getting closer to getting his license and it scares the hell out if me.

Beowulf50---my son just got his license too--scary stuff but part of growing up.

Too early to tell impact on recruiting long-term---need more info---but it is another short term black eye at the least that others will try to use against us with recruits' parents.
