Our best five doesn't include our best player?!?!

That's just silly talk!

Oops forgot about Yogi. Sorry although I don't think he's our best player. Yogi gets the short leash with RJ in after the first dumb turnover. Shouldn't take long.

If Yogi Ferrell is not our best player this season, we are gonna be really, really good.

You must be drinking that Tom Crean Kool-Aid with your unparalleled optimism about the coaching those young guys are getting if they are gonna be better than Yogi!

C'mon sc...pull off those crimson glasses and come back down to earth.

Joining the party late here tonight---but I have to say that game was a lot of fun!

First---let's be honest---MVS----is bad.

But ---that ball movement---and to be able to effortlessly hit that many 3's against anyone---is saying something positive about this team.

It is clear this is not LAST YEAR'S team---we are going to be better!

There were positive contributions from everyone tonight.

RoJo continues to improve before our eyes---by Big Ten time---it is possible that he--Yogi--and JBJ will be virtually interchangeable---like having 3 point guards and 3 shooting guards on the court at the same time.

Stan made a big mistake getting into trouble---I thought his defense and rebounding would give him the nod over RoJo to make the starting lineup---but RoJo is showing he can rebound too---another strong effort tonight. He is improving on D too.

Stan may find himself as the 6th man---but Z3 and now Hoetzel are trying to get their feet in that door!  Love the competition and depth this year!

Every game seems to bring a new coming out party---Hartman last game and he followed up strong again tonight.

But tonight's coming out party was for the German Bomber---Mad Max Hoetzel!

Is it just me or does he look like he has grown again?  He is not afraid to mix it up inside and rebound---there will be minutes for him as he is much more than just a shooter.

What a way for him to bounce back from his injury---which I heard occurred in practice when he was trying to dunk on Hanner!

Like that swag Max!  I predict he will end up better than Sheehey.  Another sleeper recruit!

Being at the game and being able to watch the whole court, i think with as many guards as we have, our ball handling needs polished. Also i have been a supporter of HMP. He is still about two seconds behind everybody. It was a great win. Everyone played with passion and effort. Skills were showcased. MVS might as well played over at the hyper. No competition.

Post-game thoughts:

Hanner may actually be able to carry the 5 the entire season. He should become less and less effective as the talent increases, but he's not making stupid fouls. He is playing very smart defense. Offensive tools are coming out as well. Loved the 15 footer.

Holy role players, Batman! Turns out, 6-13 plus the walk-ons can all add something when they're on the floor. This team is dynamic, and dangerous.

Crean may actually save himself with this team. Our ball movement and defense looks strong, especially for a team of young guys, and his substitutions haven't left me screaming at the TV, yet. This team is capable of winning with Crean's fast break offense.

As shocking as this game was, schoosier posted multiple positive remarks about this game. My world is spinning, but welcome to the good side, SC!
