Hearing former UofL commit, WKU QB Damarcus Smith (Seneca) drawing major IU interest. Smith has thrown for 2746 yards, 31 TDs at Butler CC.

Some videos here. Profiles don't do much for JUCO players. Had heard an interesting midwest QB would be on campus soon....

Sounds like he would be a great pickup.

Call me crazy but hey let's go all out to get him. I like his composure and his touch on the ball.

I remember him while he was at Seneca High School. Was probably the best player in the Louisville area. He committed to Louisville before Teddy Bridgewater. Bridgewater committed to U of L and Smith went to Central or South Florida I think. Things didn't work out for him there and he went with Petrino to WKU. Not sure why he left there.

He was awful at WKU. Maybe he's gotten better but I don't have good memories from watching him down here.

A couple of red flags. Possible head case. Non qualifier at UCF.

Would be a great pick up if in fact he got his issues squared away. He wasn't admitted into UCF but that doesn't mean he hasn't turned it around and hit the books. He was a stud recruit coming out of high school. Offers from Florida St., USC, Oregon, Miami, Nebraska...would love to have him redeem himself at IU!
