Man, a lot of teams are cancelling right now.  Who else would be surprised with them “postponing” the season after what K just did and a lot of teams cancelling?

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if they "postponed" the season before long.  I know the NCAA doesn't want to because they're going to lose a ton of money again but when coaches start voicing their "concern" with the health of student-athletes the NCAA will have to "postpone."

I mean...why? Maybe I’m being insensitive, but haven’t we seen the NBA, NFL, MLB, and NCAAF be able to successfully complete seasons. Obviously it’s more difficult, and there are inherent risks, but these guys get paid a ton of money for a reason. Show some flexibility. And as always, if individual players, or teams, feel unsafe playing, let them make that decision to cancel. Don’t cancel the whole thing.

I have views that infringe on the standards established by the board moderators and members as for the reason why this whole thing got out of hand.  However, I'll keep those views to myself.  The politicking that goes on at all levels of sports from teams, conferences, coaches, and committees has led us to where we are.

I think the NBA was absolute success story.  The others?  Mixed bag at best.  Many games have been cancelled in all others.  But comparing or lumping the NCAA to professional sports isn’t the best way either.  Professional athletes can limit the people they are around regularly.  Even within a facility.  Most college athletes don’t have that luxury.  Testing has become more abundant at all levels.  Professional leagues have more reserves to make a true bubble happen.  I am honestly scared to see what hodgepodge the NCAA does for March Madness.  Which I guarantee will still occur.  That event is the revenue for the NCAA.  Two years off won’t happen one way or another.

Feels like the NBA did an awesome job, baseball was 'good enough', and football has been...challenging.

May be largely a product of the increasing number of people that each of these sports has to supervise within the restrictions--NBA has the most ability to control, then baseball, then football.

Also, pro sports can control their people off the field more easily than college. Way harder to create a bubble for the IU football team with teenagers living on a big campus in densely packed dorms and apartments than for the Colts.

Watching the Cardinals play about 45 games in the last 30 calendar days was delightful from this Cubs fan.  Don’t tell Boob I said that.  He won’t like me talking negative about his Cards.

The logical person in me wonders if he doesn't have point. The cynic in me wonders if he'd be saying this if he just hadn't lost -- at home -- to Michigan State and Illinois, and was 4-0 instead of 2-2.

I think it is your latter point

I still haven't figured out why basketball had to start 2 weeks late even though football games were still being played.
